2 out of 5 eggsOk for the price

Pros: Cheap. Blue leds. Has Temp sensors included. Works for what its supposed to do.

Cons: One of the pots (fan speed dial) broke within a few months and I did not adjust the speed of the fans very often.

Other Thoughts: I would recomend a PWM regulated fan controller.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Bling

Pros: Everything works, no conflicts.

Cons: I'd have liked better mounting adhesive for the temperature probes.

Other Thoughts: Now the other kids want one too!

4 out of 5 eggsPretty, works well

Pros: Shiny blue and a neat screen. This does what is intended, reads cards and has fan controls.

Cons: The product seems to be based on some dated technology. It is inexpensive, but one can tell the craftsmanship on it isn't great.

Other Thoughts: I've given 4 eggs to this because the one I got works and works well, but I can tell the craftsmanship behind it isn't great. The product itself seems flimsy looks a bit older. I remember using those types of heat sensors in a PC I built back in 2000, before they were all the rage. Anyway, good product overall though.

2 out of 5 eggsI wouldn't buy it again

Pros: Looks good in the computer. Lot's of card slots and an eSATA

Cons: First, the connections this thing comes wired with are for a 3 cable, square power connector. If you are using the typical power connection in your box, you will have to buy and retro fit your fans. Second, the only fan I did rewire, when I went to adjust it's speed, it shut the computer down. So basically, this doesn't do a good job with the fans or power. I have yet to try the card reader. Hopefully that works

3 out of 5 eggsMostly Functional

Pros: Plenty of reader ports, nice blue illumination with the screen and the knobs, decent fan controller ranges.

Cons: Temperature 1 stopped reading, for some reason. I tested that it was plugged into its socket properly, I tested plugging it in backwards, I checked the wire for nicks, the board for chips, using T2-T4's sensors in slot T1--T1 just stopped reading.

Ports run a at a slightly worrisome heat.

Other Thoughts: I like the blue design, it has well-working ports, and it's not too bright. It's worth $30, but I'm disappointed that I no longer detect temperature on my tower, and I have to open a program to read it now.

5 out of 5 eggsnMEDIAPC Black 5.25" USB 2.0 Card Reader w/e-SATA & 4 Channels Multi Fan Controller in LCD Display

Pros: Built in alarm/buzzer for temp. and fan speed, meaning if any of fans suddenly stops the buzzer will sound.
Fan controllers work OK.
Card readers work OK. (tested SD, SDHC micro and MMC card)
Blue LED display and blue LED light around fan nubs.

Cons: Fan connectors use 3 pin connection while most computer case fans have 4 pin molex. (this means you can only connect 2 fans, the ones you connect directly to your motherboard, for the other 2 you'll need 3 pin to 4 pin adapter.

Other Thoughts: Tape-on temp. sensors is not an accurate way to read temp. but I assume there isn't other way to read the temp. externally.
If I get chance I'll upload a video too.

2 out of 5 eggsEhh

Pros: The fan controller and temp sensors work. The LED screen looks nice.

Cons: The card reader doesn't work all of the time and lately it doesn't seem to want to work at all.

Other Thoughts: It's an overpriced piece of plastic.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible product...

Pros: great display and great temp sensors, but that's where the good stuff stops.

Cons: When I first got this, It looked great. I installed it into my system and after long time looping up wires in my case, I started the computer. I noticed that all the fans that were connected to the device did not turn on. To make matters worse the device was smoking and giving off a terrible smell. I don't think that it's the fans (they are standard antec fans). The control functions do not seem to work at all. To matters worse, the memory card reader does not work at all. The only thing on this that works are the temperature sensors. But I have learned my lesson, I will never trust this company ever again!

Other Thoughts: I'm not a huge manual guy, but I noticed that the manual is terrible. Never buy this unless you plan to send it back!

5 out of 5 eggsworks great for me

Pros: Worked correctly out of the box. Looks fantastic.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: The only media card I've used so far is a 16Gb High Capacity SD card, which worked beautifully. Lots of wires to route, but it can't do its job without them.
