Yes, you can still get PC133 memory. This 256MB module even has a startlingly fast CAS timing of 2. These are great modules for beefing up memory in older computers or in expandable printers or office equipment.

5 out of 5 eggsHP Vectra VL420 DT - Old

Pros: We have 2 old HP Vectra computers trying to run windows xp... one was running with 256 MB memory and the other was barely barely running at 128 MB memory. We bought what we could afford. Putting the 2 new kingston memory chips into 1 computer and putting the 3 old 128 MB memory chips into the barely running computer. The new kingston chips ran great in the Vectra computer.

Cons: no cons... we are happy with the results...

2 out of 5 eggsKingston reliability is questionable

Pros: Used to augment a desktop PCs used daily for general office work at a not-for-profit org. No compatibility problems. NewEgg shined with quick delivery as always!

Cons: Bought two (2) sticks brand spanking new. One failed after about 6 months -- intermittent at first, then hard errors. The second followed similarly pattern after about a year and a half (1.5 years) later in a different PC.
I don't usually buy KINGSTON, but now I am very wary of using them again, because of reliability.

Other Thoughts: Memory should be reliable INDEFINITELY with proper cooling and regular PM. I've purchased other sticks from manufactures (even off name brands) that are still going strong after YEARS of service in far harsher environments. Maybe it was just a bad batch that eked through infant mortality, but this is extremely disappointing.

Sadly, This experience puts a huge question mark in front of KINGSTON for future purchases.

1 out of 5 eggsDidn't work

Pros: None.

Cons: Bought this RAM for my grandparents computer and it didn't work. So I decided to keep it and see if it just didn't work in their computer. By the time I came around to trying it in a different computer that takes PC133 RAM it was passed the return date and I couldn't return it.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's Kingston, Neweggs RMA procedure is excellent

Cons: System just would not see more than 128mb of each 256mb stick.

Other Thoughts: Compaq 6300US just didn't like this stuff. It would only see 128mb of the 256mb stick. Newegg no hassle RMA was excellent and I now have crucial sticks and system sees the full 512mb (2 x 256mb). Spend the few extra dollars upfront instead of restock / return shipping fees. You'll be happy you did.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Allows a old computer to run XP, and it does this well.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Works in a old Athlon 1200 in a MSI motherboard that came from Gateway. It think the model is a Select 1200.

1 out of 5 eggsUsage in ASUS K7M mobo

Pros: Packaging is very protective.

Cons: This stick does not work in the K7M.

Other Thoughts: Kingston does not support its use in the K7M. Later I did find a PC133 model with CL2 from another mfr. that worked.

1 out of 5 eggsKingston - Not what it used to be

Pros: NewEgg gave me a full refund without hassles.

I ordered some Crucial RAM from the egg to replace these. Crucial is, imho, the best RAM money can buy. Their quality control is second-to-none. Kingston's QC used to be great, but seems to be slipping.

Cons: The 2 modules I ordered were both DOA. I expected better from Kingston, and I won't be giving them the chance to do it again. I've been buying Kingston RAM for nearly a decade with no quality control problems. Bye bye, Kingston.

Other Thoughts: As always, the egg came through in the clutch. That's exactly why I continue to be a loyal customer.
