5 out of 5 eggsSturdy

Pros: - Was easily installed in both a Toshiba Satellite and Dell D630.
- Has been running in a power user laptop for about 4 years withouth hiccup.

Cons: None seen

Other Thoughts: Kingston as usual does not disappoint. This a sturdy bit of RAM.

5 out of 5 eggsMakes a lot of difference

Pros: Noticeable improvement in performance
Reduced application load times
Reduced paging to hard drive
No issues with compatibility on older platform
No issues with installation

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I have a 5-year old Acer Aspire 5600 laptop which originally had Win XP Home installed and I had upgraded the RAM to 1GB at the time I bought it. I currently have it running Win 7 now and at times it really shows its age, especially during boot times and running some newer software.

I actually got this from my Secret Santa during our family Christmas get-together, since I posted my request on FB. I requested to get the cheapest DDR2-667 here on newegg, but I'm very happy to get it either way and promptly swapped the old RAM out and gave it a spin.

It may be subjective (or not) to say that the performance gain is significant. The bootup time seems to load faster, and there's much less drive activity. It also loads applications quicker and again with significantly reduced drive access. Firefox in particular no longer puts a massive strain (just itself hits 300MB and plugin-container can eat another 500MB), and now my system can handle it much better.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy Upgrade

Pros: easy install, price.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: Upgraded the 2 x 512 sticks that came with my Dell Vostro 1400. Will be ordering another to max out at 4gb. Only takes as long as removing 4 screws, and everything is much faster, especially boot and shutdown. New life for a 5-year-old laptop. Great all-around transaction and product.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Decent price, worked in my Asus eee 1001px.

Cons: Not really a con, see below.

Other Thoughts: Booted up fine after install, but under Control Panel > System, the processor info and ram info were unattainable. I redid the OS and now my system info is fine. Mem test is fine.

There were solutions for the missing info in control panel and accessories > system information, but I was going to do a fresh install anyway.

Pros: The phone return was handled well.

Cons: I used your memory finder tool and it pointed to the wrong part. I have a Samsung N150 Plus Netbook.
