3 out of 5 eggsmixed emotions

Pros: runs great when not playing games

Cons: well set the memory to 800 speed @ 5-5-5-15 manually like most ppl said to do. So i did and the machine rights great untill i run WoW.. half the times about 5 minutes into sitting in dalaran machine hard locks, other half it instantly hard locks soon as i log in.. i have confirmed it is the memory cuz i put my old 667 ram in and 20 mins later im still logged into WoW and here writing this review

Other Thoughts: if anyone knows of issues with this ram and them am2 asus crosshair board please let me know

5 out of 5 eggsDefult settings

Pros: Great RAM. This isn't the exact model I own but wanted to pass along some information. I have 4 Gb's of HyperX DDR2 800 (4x1 Gb) running smooth and stable.

Cons: None. I hate to see this good RAM loose eggs because people don't understand how and why it intalls as it does.

Other Thoughts: Kingston HyperX DDR2 800 RAM typically defaults to DDR2 667 at looser than stated timings and lower than stated voltages to ensure compatibility with a wide range of systems.

Once installed simply go into the BIOS, raise the clock rate, tighten the timings and manually set the voltage to your specific part number's specs and you're good to go.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Kingston,great price

Cons: Ordered on the 20th it's the 28th and still haven't recieved it.
That's not so good when you pay for 3 day :(

Other Thoughts: I got this for an upgrade from 2gig to 4gig. I am using 2gig of the Kinston hyperx now and it's great. Don't forget to change your BIOS settings or it will run at 667 not 800

5 out of 5 eggsSmoking Deal

Pros: Was Twenty-Eight bucks when I got it, 2 gigs of name brand DDR2 800 with heat sinks for under Thirty bucks, is awesome. The look cool too.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Used on a ASUS P5KPL-CM G31 Motherboard. Works great.

5 out of 5 eggsNice DDR2

Pros: HyperX for this cheap. cool looking heat spreaders (not that useful with my motherboard, no space between them). Fast.

Cons: not really a con but they are 667 by default, but that is a simple BIOS setting that takes three seconds to fix it to 800. Not worth complaining about

Other Thoughts: great!

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap, good name, performance ect. Good overclocking ability. Looks cool

Cons: Labeled DDR2 800 is really DDR2 667. I assume Kingston expects you to overclock to 800, and can easily oc'ed

Other Thoughts: Id recommend to anyone. good ram.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for price

Pros: I bought this because it was recommended for my motherboard. So So overclock ability. Takes a bit of tweaking to get it where you want it but it does run quite well once you have it there.

Cons: Effort to overclock

Other Thoughts: I'm lazy so it gets 4 eggs. )

5 out of 5 eggsHyper-X

Pros: High quality, blue heatspreads!, overclockable, cheap for Hyper-X!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: For some reason, the speed defaults to 667, but not really a con as a simple change to 800 is minor. Overall good product from Kingston!

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Runs good overclocks well.

Cons: Labeled DDR2 800 is really DDR2 667.

Other Thoughts: The SPD shows shows DDR2 667, so does the BIOS and a couple of program I checked it with. Still not a bad deal for the price. I guess Kingston messed up.
