If you've ever purchased memory from Kingston before, you know that they stand for reliability. With a five year limited parts and labor warranty, they're pretty confident that their drive will last.
This flash drive has two gigabytes of capacity, and a retractable port connection, so there's no protective cap to keep track of. Rated at a 20 MB/second writing speed and 30 MB/second reading speed and certified compatible with Windows Vista, your data are ready to go fully mobile. Have you got data that is too impermanent to clutter up your laptop's drive?
Do you have data too sensitive to leave on a laptop drive, like say, your employees' Social Security database? Store it on this drive and have what you need when you need it, then slip it into your pocket and go. Whether you're a student bringing home your homework or a business person on the go, you really ought to look into this.

Blazing fast!
- Pros: This drive is faster than any I've seen. It outpaced all the high-performance flash drives I've compared it to. Read speeds approaching 35MB/s.
Lightweight but solidly constructed of what looks like aluminum and rubberized plastic.
The 2GB version is also surprisingly affordable.
- Cons: A little larger than most, but that could be a pro depending on your preference.
- Other Thoughts: Great value for the money, and a pretty good warranty. If you're concerned with speed, this is the one.
Does not work as advertised.
- Pros: Faster than a generic Kingston drive. My second stick, after I RMA'd the first one, has gotten a max 10MB/s write speed, which isn't terrible, but is not as advertised.
- Cons: First stick I received was obviously defective. The Write speeds were terrible (below 3MB/s). The stick would write a little and then freeze up for a period of time and repeatedly do this throughout the transfer. The second stick does this as well, but less frequently and for shorter periods of time. I wonder about the safety of the data that I'm storing on it and do not rely on it to safely maintain the data.
- Other Thoughts: I'm not sure if it's a problem with this hyper x line or what but kingston is usually solid. The price is a little bit low for such a fast (advertised speed anyway) drive, which might explain the poor performance. I'd suggest one of the more expensive models or another brand if you want a speedy drive. I'd like to, but I just can't recommend this stick after my experience with it. You may fair better.

Mac OS X 10.5.x MacPro
- Pros: Using Mac OS X's Disk Utility.app and Activity Monitor.app, I created and verified an average of 19.0 MB per sec. I created a blank 3.5 GB disk image onto the drive and watched the Activity Monitor.app's Disk Activity tab. Creating a disk image allowed me to write to the flash as fast as possible without using a source drive which could have an affect. I also purchased the Corsair Flash Voyagermini because the HyperX won't connect to your keychain. The Corsair would only do about 5.88 MB per sec.
- Cons: -Can't attach to your keychain.
-Wish the activity light would shine through both sides of the stick; different USB connections can sometimes position the stick with the activity light facing away from you.
- Other Thoughts: -Nice case.
-Actual USB connector seems strong (wont break after many uses, like other USB flash sticks).

Kinda big, but that's ok
- Pros: Free shipping! Pretty blue color.
Actually the size is ok for me. Smaller jump drives have a tendency to be laundered at our house.
Five year warranty (I can just see it now - calling for a replacement in 2013, "sorry Sir, we no longer make the 2 GB model, but we can replace it with the current 5TB drive for you_.
- Cons: Even though the USB plug retracts, there is nothing to shield it from pocket lint. We'll see how it holds up.
