5 out of 5 eggsNice and boring, just the way I like it.

Pros: Well, there's not much to say about a commodity product when it does its job right. Blew the dust off the MB, snapped in the stick, fired up the machine and the memory was there and worked, all the bits reported in nice and healthy.

Cons: It's a chore to hack your way into those sealed consumer proof blister packs.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality Piece of Work

Pros: Longevity, quiet, reliable

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Got this when I built my rig over 4 years ago. Still works like a charm, to the point I'm coming back to get some more to give my old machine a boost until I build a new one!

Pros: Great ram, reliable, affordable.

Cons: Sometimes the ram can go bad after awhile. I've had that happen before with Kingston Ram.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Quiet, Small, inexpensive
I ordered the box with the intent of replacing an old Linksys NAS device which was loud and generated alot of heat. This unit and a 2Gb stick of DDR2 and a hard drive makes a great NAS unit plus it can function as a home web server.
The packaging is physically tight which means you should follow the instructions to get the order of installation right. I followed the directions and in 20 minutes I was loading XP.
Once the OS loaded and I updated the drivers from the included CD it has been quietly running for 3 days now. I haven't used the sound so I can't testify to that. Video is fine but mostly I am using remote desktop to communicate with the box.

Cons: Tight packaging. Not mechanically ready for 2.5" drives. Though an adapter bracket would work nicely. DVD front bezel seems to only work with a slim form factor drive. This is not a problem for me since I removed the optical drive when finished with the loading of XP.

Other Thoughts: My intent is to us the optical disk bay for a second hard drive. I see on the driver disk there are some RAID drivers which I would dearly love to use for mirroring a second drive. If anyone has done this would you post something please?
Follow the directions carefully and the installation is a breeze and you will be rewarded for your effort with a nice, compact, and quiet machine.
