1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Affordable ram made specifically for Mac.

Cons: As soon as I put the ram in the machine, it died. I popped the old ram back in and it work fine. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Other Thoughts: Pay the extra money for something better

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great!

Pros: The price! you cannot beat the price. Go take a gander at apple and guaranteed you are looking down the throat of nothing shy of $200 for a 4GB kit. First off Kingston is a very reputable memory manufacturer its used in lots of computers today. When I saw the price and installed into my 24" 2.8GHZ aluminum early spring imac it saw the memory right away and booted up and now i have 4GB and the system is lightning fast.. not like it wasnt before but its even faster now. I highly recommend this product!! NewEggs order process was a breeze and their standard shipping is quite speedy too! Im very pleased over all.

Cons: None that I can think of.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Memory For Imac

Pros: Just installed this memory on an imac that I bought in late May of 2008 from apple.com. My imac is a 24" model with a 2.8 core 2 duo. The memory was a breeze to install and the mac started right up and was recognized in the system profiler. Im a satisfied customer, nuff said !!

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great with 20" iMac

Pros: Installed on DDR2 800MHz 20" iMac in less than 5 minutes. Booted perfectly and runs very fast. The iMac came with only 1GB, but 4GB makes it scream. I can rip DVD's and run iTunes and Firefox without slowing anything down.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Make sure your iMac supports 800MHz memory.

5 out of 5 eggsworks with 3.06GHz iMac

Pros: Works in my brand-spanking new 3.06GHz iMac. Can't beat 4GB for under $50!

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: It's very hard to be sure you've ordered the right RAM for a new iMac. (Despite over an hour online, I ended up with the wrong product at first.) This DOES work with the 3.06GHz "early 2008" iMac Intel Core2 Duo.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks with DDR2 800 iMac

Pros: Quickly installed into an (Early 2008) iMac previously running 2 GBs of DDR2 800 RAM; Booted immediately after the swap, no issues. Much cheaper than getting a machine with 4 GBs of RAM from Apple.

Cons: Still a small premium over "regular" DDR2 800 laptop RAM for Apple compatible DIMMs. CAS 6.

Other Thoughts: Says on the packaging that these DIMMs should work with MacBooks, MacBook Pros, and iMacs at DDR2 800/667 speeds. Don't have a Mac running at DR2 667 to test these claims...

2 out of 5 eggsNot for 667mhz bus core2 iMacs

Pros: might work with other macs

Cons: Does not work with newer (aluminum) core2 iMacs that run @ 667mhz. Not the ram's fault; apparently the MB on the 667 iMacs will not clock down the 800mhz RAM.. Plugged this kit in and the iMac failed to boot.

Kingston tech support was very helpful.

Other Thoughts: This RAM is listed to work with 800mhz, 667mhz, and 533mhz RAM bus speeds.. however didn't work in this iMac. Bought this on sale, and assumed it was safe.. will return it and buy the 667mhz RAM.

Apple REALLY REALLY needs to issue a BIOS update for these iMacs, really no excuse to not have it recognize this RAM

5 out of 5 eggsNot for Macbooks, duh!

Pros: For Apple imac

Cons: Macbooks wont post using this ram. Wait thats not a con because this isnt made for macbooks.

Other Thoughts: Disappointing to see 2 really low reviews for no good reason. Hello........ it is not Macbook memory. If you look under specifications you'd notice that this ram is:Compatibility - For Apple iMac. Perhaps this was mislabeled when those reviews were made, I checked the Kingston website and it is not very forthcoming on the compatibility of this ram, but I think it needs a better set of eggs. This should help =)
