1 out of 5 eggsFailed

Pros: Fast

Cons: Started failing (R/W errors) after a month and a half and system quickly became unusable (I was using it for my OS volume). Tried re-formatting and the drive wasn't even detectable by Windows setup. Can't RMA due to limited return policy (which I didn't notice at the time of purchase). Will be looking for different manufacturers for my SSDs in the future.

3 out of 5 eggsOK, but hiccups causing random reboots

Pros: Very fast indeed relative to a standard HDD

Cons: While I cannot rule out the SATA interface of my MSI motherboard, I get a large number or R/W errors that finally led me to put my operating systems back on a standard HDD and use this solely for caching and swap drive use. Even then, I get random reboots and delayed write errors so may have to take it out entirely.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome SSD. Great Price

Pros: We ordered 1 of these for my our laptops at work and have been greatly impressed with them. We had a our base images go from a 4 minute boot time to just over 90 seconds. We have since ordered 10 more of these and the end users are loving them.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsFanstastic device

Pros: Really good speed, quiet

Cons: Price was a little high.

Other Thoughts: I was shocked watching how fast 64GB can format (about 15 seconds) compared to the 300GB partition I setup in a RAID 1+0 array (about 20 minutes).

This drive so far has performed well. The price was a little steep (would have liked a bigger drive), but it outperforms regular drives so I can't complain much.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Installed easily, Win7 installed in under 20 minutes. Mandriva Linux installed in about the same time. Best upgrade I've done in a very long time.

Cons: No mounting bracket for my desktop, but you can place this anywhere.

Other Thoughts: Even 6GB of RAM wasn't enough to see a difference with my old, slow hard drives. But now I can dedicate my 2TB of drive space to just storage, and this beast to the OS and virtual memory. If you've got plenty of drive space but need better performance, SSD is the way to go.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredibly fast

Pros: EXTREMELY fast. SiSoftware Sandra showed an AVERAGE non-sequential random read at 218 MBPS. Unbelievable considering the WD Raptor X only got ~90. Supports raid functions as well, so I intend to drop another into a raid 1 for extra speed.

Cons: Very small. I didn't pay attention to the dimensions, so it now sits unsupported inside my desktop case. VERY small.

5 out of 5 eggsvery nice but...

Pros: Fast. Simple. Works perfect.
Boot time is faster and all programs load FAST!

Cons: Cost vs space vs other upgrades

Other Thoughts: This is a great drive. Like everyone else, it just works FAST. However, I crunch movies. Run a AMD QUAD 2.5 black overclocked to 3+, 4GB ram, XP PRO. Want to make movies faster. Thought HD was the hold up. It is faster, but not night and day faster. So, for movies, if I were to do it over again, would have gone to a 3.4GHZ cpu and overclocked it to 4+ over this HD. For everything else, this is so fast that it is worth every penny!

3 out of 5 eggsGood for laptops

Pros: Faster boot time. Quiet and cool. Used it to replace a Hitachi 7200rpm in a Lenovo and improved Windows Experience Score from 5.6 to 7.1. Most notable gain is in the incredible fast boot time(<30 sec now).

Cons: Price for performance and size does not warrant replacing the velicoraptors in the desktop yet. I have heard this particluar drive does not have Trim support nor will there be any future bios releases to correct that.

Other Thoughts: Get me at least 128GBs for this price and I will consider replacing the desktop's disks!

3 out of 5 eggsDisappointed -_-

Pros: running cool and quiet

Cons: slow, just a bit faster than 7200 HDD

Other Thoughts: I install this SSD in my laptop HP dv7.I am disappointed with this ssd.Yes,running cool like advertised but not much faster than my WD 7200 Scorpio Black. My windows score with that HDD was 5.6 now with this SSD is only 5.9.I thought I get much better score. My boot time is just slightly better,60 seconds instead of 88 seconds.
