1 out of 5 eggsG2 Reader

Pros: Reads Micro SD only!

Cons: Will not read Memory Stick PRO. NewEgg sent a replacment, and it was no better. Have tried to use Kingston's web page, but it was of no value, for information.

Other Thoughts: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Device

Pros: It works great on a variety of cards. We seem to have every possible card in this household due to each son owning a different Sony product and the myriad of different devices in the home. None of us have ever had any difficulty getting this reader to work with any card. My sons are compute science majors and use their cards for heavy work. I just take pictures and store items from the cell phone and camera. However, again, none of us has had any difficulty using the device or with card memory problems. Even my techno-phobic wife uses it with ease. Got it on sale with 8Gb for ten bucks.

Cons: See above. Too many users, only one card reader. Had to buy more as #1 son was getting a bit too possessive.

Other Thoughts: Great value and great function.

2 out of 5 eggsFlaky

Pros: Compact, Comes with little extension cable (which I haven't found separately). Attached covers, cover SD card when inserted. Good speed when it works, I got advertised speeds (20 MBs sustained write) from high speed SDHC card. Would be perfect if worked every time.

Cons: Flaky operation. Most of the time, when I plug it in, I get dialog (XP SP3) that says that card needs to be formatted, when it doesn't. Unplug it, wiggle it, try different combinations of plugging in USB first or card first and it eventually works. Once it starts working it seems fine. SDHC cards (8 and 16 gig) I tried work perfectly in another USB reader. Maybe, just, the one I got is defective but, too lazy to RMA.

Other Thoughts: Class 10 SDHC card with compact reader is the fastest 16 gig "USB Flash Drive" I can find, for price of slower 16 gig USB flash drive alone (around $35 delivered).

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great for Me

Pros: I got mine as part of a bundle with a SDHC card I'm using in a camcorder. It works perfectly, I have not had any of the the issues another reviewer has with the cable, and I use it with the extension cable most of the time. I like the small size; I just chuck it into my camera bag.

Cons: I haven't found any.

Other Thoughts: The price of the card+plus reader was essentially the same as the price of the card alone, so it was a great deal!

1 out of 5 eggsBad design

Pros: The main USB SD/microSD adapter is working great.

Cons: The short USB extension cable is too big for the adapter to fit; therefore, the adapter is not working at all unless you push and hold the adapter in place. Bad cable. I won't suggest this product to anyone.

Other Thoughts: Kingston got some good products and this is one of the bad one.
