4 out of 5 eggsGood Enough

Pros: 32GB/~28GB formatted FAT32
well built
good price
fast transfers

Cons: kinda of big

Other Thoughts: got this for a co worker who's Hard disk was getting full, order this drive, stopped at there home after work opened it, formatted it, and put it to work transfer speed was around 20 MB/s which is lot faster then the last few PNY flash drives I bought they were happy i was happy and lot cheaper then buying 32GB at the local Best Buy.
it is on the fat side kinda pushed the USB cable over when i plugged it in next to it but no biggie just something to keep in mind, overall good buy.

5 out of 5 eggsKingston DataTraveler 100 Generation 2 32GB

Pros: while the drive was set at FAT when i got it, i got about 5 megs file transfer speed, but when used my partition software to change it to NTFS, i got 16 to 18 megs file transfer speed, especially since it's only a USB 2.0! now that's fast for 20 bucks! That's almost as fast an ide hdd! i also like a one piece drive. those caps are too easy to lose.

Cons: i'm not getting 30 megs file transfer speed.

Other Thoughts: i had a tech geek for a friend, and he told me that a computer will do anything you tell it to do. I don't know too much, but knowing how to tell my flash drive what to do, i now have 4 flash drives that get 17 megs file transfer speed! What more can i say!? I wish the price of a 64 gig drive would drop! I'd have enough space to backup my primary drive!

5 out of 5 eggsGood price.

Pros: Price was right. I like the cap less design when cap slides back instead of USB port sliding out. Overall - I am happy with the purchase.

Cons: Speed could be much better. Even 8MB/s write would be great. But 4MB/s write is too slow. Well, I expected that and it is not a problem for me.

Other Thoughts: Used H2TESTW application to check all available memory space. Few hours later found no errors (good!) and average speed about 4MB/s write and 12MB/s read. Seriously, write speed could be better...

1 out of 5 eggsDead in a month

Pros: Inexpensive.

Cons: Worked well, then inexplicably died within a month. No computer would recognize it and the data was unrecoverable. To add insult to injury, the slide cover doesn't seat well in the open or closed position. It regularly moved into the open position in my pocket.

Other Thoughts: After using the same flash drive for a few years, I moved to this one for the added capacity. I've had many flash drives over the years and, knowing they generally live a rough, well-traveled life, I don't expect them to last forever. However, this model was probably plugged into a port less than a dozen times and lived a sheltered life. Even then, it was a miserable failure.

3 out of 5 eggsSLOOOOOOOOWWW

Pros: Reasonably priced, large capacity.

Cons: Slowest writing thumb drive I own.

Other Thoughts: Purchased on an email coupon which priced it in the low end of large capacity thumbs. I got it with the express intention of reformatting as NTFS to allow easy transfer of DVD ISO images between computers (>4GB files with associated metadata). It works, but this thumb isn't really suited for any sort of journaling file system. Takes about 20 minutes to write a 4GB file. Definitely a "smoke 'em if you got 'em" memory device.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: Huh?

Cons: Corrupted some of the files I was transferring. Extreeeeeeeeemely slow. Even for a USB drive. Stick with SanDisk.

Other Thoughts: I didn't buy this from Newegg. I'll be returning it to where I did purchase it from.

3 out of 5 eggsGet what you pay for

Pros: No cap to lose.

Cons: Says 32 gb, actually only 29 gb. Not bad though, as $1 per gb is a lot cheaper than the box stores are charging.

Other Thoughts: Wish I had waited two weeks and got it for $23 instead of $29, but hindsight is 20/20.
