5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Awesome thumb drive. Super durable, I feel I could run over this thing with a truck and it would still work. Faster then most thumb drives. I use it with my 360 to transport movies or music, and for that, it's awesome.

Cons: Not so much a con, but the cover isn't secured tightly on the thumb drive when it's attached to the back. When it covers the male end it's fine, but when in use it and put the cover on the rear, it could fall off very easily, (not worth removing an egg though)

Other Thoughts: I didn't know how this thing was gonna work after I got 2 other thumbs that failed after 2 weeks (Team Group. AVOID THEM!) I must say I'm quite happy, I spent a little extra and received much better quality.

5 out of 5 eggsFast

Pros: Copied an entire music library to the drive, average speed for real world write was ~14MB/s. I bought this primarily for the durability, and color. The rubberized casing in orange makes it hard to miss. The drive still maintains a slim enough profile to be friendly to adjacent usb connection

Cons: None that I can think of so far

Other Thoughts: Using for a music drive in my car. I used to use a 1gb supertalent from 2007 when a 1gb drive still costed $22. The read speed increase improved the perfromance of my car's usb enabled head unit. Again extremely happy with Newegg and Kingston for delivering such a nice inexpensive drive

5 out of 5 eggsBlazing Fast

Pros: Fast, Fast, Fast, Fast, and Durable

Cons: The cap doesn't really have a place to be held when plugged in.

Other Thoughts: DThis drive is twice as fast as my Sandisk Cruzer according to the Disk Utility in Ubuntu, but with some coping tests the Sandisk reads/writes at ~2MB/s and the Kingston reads/writes at ~25MB/s.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Reputable manufacturer.
Does ~30MB/sec easy, all day long.
Durable case, doesn't feel flimsy or "cheap".
Not crazy expensive.

Cons: No method of securing the cap to the case.
Blue LED is distracting, probably a pro for some people.
The orange/black case color stands out a lot, probably a pro for some people.

Other Thoughts: Case does add some thickness, so placing this in adjacent occupied USB slots is a hit or miss affair.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: This thing is great. durable, nice feel to it w/ the rubber grip and its bright orange so its easy to see if it falls to the floor or out of your pocket while driving. i normally keep it in a big full of other stuff, so it stands out pretty easy.

I work in the oil field and require to have a lot of information available to me at any time and this thing does the job. I will be ordering more in the future without question.

Cons: The lanyard it comes w/ isn't that useful for me but I put it in a bag anyway, so no big deal.

5 out of 5 eggsPerdormance Plus Quality

Pros: Performance is excellent and a tad better in write speeds than the Mushkin Mulhilland flash drives which I own several of. I prefer this drive over the Mushkins due to the rubber coating and extra protection it provides to the flash drive. I would not part with my Mushkins, they are high quality and fast flash drives and a little shorter and better for some applications.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: The R500 is Kingston's latest and they didn't disappoint.
The Color is a nice touch, overall a high quality, fast flash drive
with great protection for durability.
I just ordered two more for my family.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Drive!

Pros: Well built, FAST, small drive. I spent a lot of time looking for a drive that was:
a) small enough to fit into a single USB port without blocking the surrounding ports, and
b) had very good data throughput. I’m happy to say this is the drive!

It fits very nicely next to my USB mouse on my notebook (Dell Latitude E-Series). It’s VERY FAST! I formatted it NTFS and in real-world tests using large files, I’ve seen 14MB-16MB/s WRITING and 8MB-22MB/s reading. Benchmark testing using diskspd:
Seq: 15.5MB/s
Random: 0.20MB/s
Seq: 27.4MB/s!
Rand: 26.6MB/s!

Cons: None, an awesome drive!

Other Thoughts: I should have gone with Kingston first! I tried another company and had trouble with the drive and the support. NewEgg took it back and made everything right! This is a great drive from a great company; I highly recommend it!

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome little gadget

Pros: Fast, dependable, shock resistant, great for pocket carry.

Cons: The stick stands out too far in from the USB port and there is no secure place to store the cover.

Other Thoughts: Even with the cons, I love this flash drive. Would definitely reccommend to other consumers. They need to make a drive just like this for USB 3.0.

5 out of 5 eggsAs good as the HyperX

Pros: Very fast, rugged. Cool looks. Capacity.

Unlike many other "high speed" flash drives it doesn't make a gamble with any sort of "revolutionary" form factor, like the spinning metal case of the Kingston 410 which doesn't prevent dust and debris from getting in the connection, or the very cool looking but bulky and flimsy case of the Patriot XT Rage.

The sleek rubberized casing makes a durable, shock-resistant housing for the drive. Also unlike many other high-speeds, it has a good life to it. Hasn't broken or weakened in any way.

It seems just as good in every respect as the discontinued Kingston HyperX USB Flash Drive, which it appears designed to replace.

Cons: Lacks a handy retractable head like that of the HyperX, a near-crucial feature for people like me, living in perpetual fear of losing the cap. Slightly wide, may not play nice with drives on either side.

Other Thoughts: All in all, a very capable drive. It is very refreshing amongst the many other "high-speed" drives out there that make bad gambles in form or function to make themselves stand out. It's form factor is simple, tried and true. It works fast and furious, is reliable unlike others which compromise integrity for speed.
