Other Thoughts: Replaced Crucial memory of the same type that had some problems. Kingston seems to be one of the best manufacturers.

Pros: Installed and worked perfectly on the from the first boot and haven't had any issues since. I upgraded from the factory installed 4GB on my Sony Vaio EB series and it hasn't given me any trouble.

Pros: Works in mid 2011 iMac. Added to base 4gb, 2 open slots accepted. Rebooted into 12gb of memory. Games are more enjoyable now. Quicker

Pros: Installed quickly and easily, as would any RAM.
Works fine on my Toshiba laptop, running Linux Mint 13.

Pros: Easy install on an Acer 5742g. Snapped out the two no name two 2-gb cards, snapped in the Kingston two 4-gb cards,booted fine, recognized memory. seems faster on video, brower, etc. True test will be MS Flight Sim 10

Cons: I am stuck with two generic 3 gb cards that no one will want and it's not worth CL free ad

Other Thoughts: Some acer owners have had issues. not me. call or text acer and some nice person in India will give you advice. FOr less than $45 I should have done this the day I ordered the laptop!!!
