Medic Matt 1/28/2013 10:23:36 AM Tech Level: 4/5 Ownership: 5/5	Rating: 4/5Great Drive Pros: Marked improvement of startup/shutdown from standard 5400/7200 RPM drives. Startup 8 secs/shutdown 5 secs as compaired to almost 35 secs with a 7200 rpm HDD. Easy to use out of the box (Just make sure you have all the neccessary cables when using these or any drive). Cons: None yet. Other Thoughts: There have been alot of reports that these drives fail more often than not, but i own 2 and have had them for almost two years with no lapse in performance. Overall great product, and i would recommend for any system running just the OS. Just use a 7200rpm HDD for games/movies/music/etc... Did you find this review helpful? N/A 12/20/2011 9:14:43 AM Tech Level: 4/5 Ownership: 3/5	Rating: 2/5Slow Writer Pros: It functions. Cons: No improvement over my 7200 rpm platter. Reads fast, writes slow. The V200 series seems to have a problem. My V100 is great, this V200 blows. There's no firmware update available. I'll be selling this on an unnamed auction site and getting something else. Other Thoughts: Don't buy the V200 until Kingston has a chance to address the slow read problem. Manufacturer Response: Kingston Customers: We've recently discovered a sequential write slowdown affecting our V200 series drives. We have identified the issue and are diligently working on a fix. While performance benchmarks may seem slow in certain environments, real world drive performance should still reflect that of an SSD with swift application loading, quick boot times and shutdowns. It's important to note that the drive's data integrity remains uncompromised and is unaffected by this slowdown. We apologize for any frustration this issue has caused and we intend to resolve it as quickly as possible.
