ScubaSteveo 12/4/2012 9:15:47 PM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 2/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 1/5Keep receiving bad memory Pros: I've always used Kingston Hyper X memory in the past and it's always worked beautifully for me...until now. Cons: I received the 2 x 4 GB Kingston memory and installed it right away. Both sticks of the memory was bad and caused 3 beeps from the Mac while booting up. I RMA'd the memory only to receive a replacement set that was bad as well. Maybe there is a bad batch of Kingston memory sitting on Newegg's shelves or something, but this is ridiculous. I'll be trying a different brand now... Other Thoughts: Installing it to a Mac Mini (mid 2011 model) with an Intel core i5, 2.3 GHz, running Mountain Lion. When BRAND NEW mac went to sleep, it never woke up, giving me a series of beeps. I googled the beeps and they indicate that the RAM is faulty.
