4 out of 5 eggsmemory works

Pros: Worked for what I needed, and booted up first try. Costs & availability

Cons: No heat spreader, not Kingston, Corsair, or G.Skill

Other Thoughts: It's not one of my favorite brands, but it worked and got the job done for an older computer. PQI has a decent reputation too.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat memory

Pros: Worked right out of the box, great memory

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I was very worried about buying extra memory for my dad's computer but I took a chance.

The computer had 1 gb of ram at 2.5 v with timings 3-4-4-8 and I couldn't find any memory like this and this PQI memory didnt have those specs. I got it anyway and put it in the computer separately and look at the timings with everest and they were also 3-4-4-8 and voltages matched and everything matched so now its all good.

Make sure your timings are the same if you are upgrading

Oh and thank you newegg!

1 out of 5 eggsPQI POWER Series 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200)

Pros: None on this order!!

Cons: junkMy 1 GB Kingstion memory module died out after a year, so I ordered this for the replacement which I already had one of these PQI modules in my eMachine anyway.
Matching pair is better of course anyway.
The module arrived with the tape tore off of one side of the anti-static packaging, I needed the module now so I installed it anyway after checking out gold contacts with a magnifier and they looked ok.
Installed the module using a grounded static band, and computer started acting up immediately with blue screen restarts, error messages etc..
Memory module was bad! Newegg sent me a defective, open package product!
I got a RMA from newegg, it cost me $8.80 to ship this piece of junk back using the newegg to ups label printing!! Will never do that again!
This is the first time I have ever had a problem with a newegg order and it is sticking in the back of my mind to stop ordering from them.

1 out of 5 eggsBSOD

Pros: Cheap, worked fine for about 5 months.

Cons: MemTest86+ and Windows Memory Test both give errors now. BSOD on almost every start up.

Other Thoughts: I've never had this problem with any other brand. Would not recommend unless you only intend on using it for a couple months...
