5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it's supposed to

Pros: Fast, you can stand it on end. Small enough to be convenient, big enough not to get lost.

Cons: The USB interface is a little odd looking, but you can impress your friends with how odd looking it is. There is no indication of which way to put the cap on, and I always end up trying the incorrect way before I turn it around and put it on right.

Other Thoughts: Data transfer speeds are much faster if you have 1 large file instead of many small files, even if they total the same size (this goes for any USB drive, not just for this one). To save time, zip 'em up into one big file!

5 out of 5 eggsNice.

Pros: 4GB ain't too bad. I'm loving the price too. It seems to be fast enough as a USB drive. And I like the design of the interface, it fits nice and snug into a usb port.

Cons: The interface may be confusing to some people. In fact, when I first saw it, I was like,"Dubbayu tee eff???" Not your normal usb 2.0 plugin... not necissarily a con, but I had to put something here.

Other Thoughts: I'm not especially demanding of a flash drive, seeing as I'm a college student and all, but this definitely gets the job done and then some for me! I'm kinda the guy everyone wants music from, so that's what I mostly use this thing for. I would definitely say this is well worth the money. Maybe worth even more than what newegg is putting it up for!

4 out of 5 eggsgood drive!

Pros: It has a benchmarked read speed of 29MB/s, write speed of 9MB/s. A full 740MB ISO takes about 1.5mins to get copied TO the drive and about 30 seconds to get copied FROM the drive. Its speed with large files is excellent.

Cons: It is MLC NAND flash that has a block size of 2kb. This means that if you want to copy small files (under 2kb each), the time taken to write them to the drive will be the same as if they were 2kb in size. With only a few files it doesn't really matter, but if you want to copy over huge folders with lots of tiny files it will take a very long time.

Other Thoughts: Almost all flash drives have similar block sizes. If you are going to work with very small files, look for SLC (single level cell) flash. They are much faster but also much more expensive than MLC chips. Either way for under $40 this is one of the best performing drives you can get that isn't ridiculously small.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks fine

Pros: Cheap price per meg,

Cons: Tad slow

Other Thoughts: thread the lanyard by using a thread first through the unit then through the lanyard then back through the unit, then pull. A simple puzzle.

5 out of 5 eggsNot sure what these other guys meant...

Pros: As far as I can tell the write speeds aren't nearly as terrible as everyone has been claiming. It's a flash drive. That's basically what you were getting into when you bought it. It's not sooper dooper fast, but I'm a patient person and don't mind waiting to write a gig of music :-) The lid that came on mine wasn't really tight, and it wasn't really loose. I'd read the other reviews before buying this but I'd used pqi products before and I've never had a problem with them. In my opinion this drive is a steal. 4gigs for $20 is pretty unbeatable for a lowly college student who just needs room for essays and tunes! ;-)

Cons: Non really. I suppose you could potentially loose the cap if you were really that A.D.D., but in all honesty if your a competent person I doubt you'll have much trouble keeping track... of a cap... for a flash drive.

Other Thoughts: Would definitely recommend this drive to other friends or family. It may not be the fastest drive out there but as I said, 4 gigs for $20 is a great deal. If you've got enough patients to wait a few minutes for the drive to write... you'll be fine ;)

4 out of 5 eggsCheap

Pros: 4gb, cheap, Green, PQI, its not "fast" but it's not really slow either.

Cons: The case feels very cheap. The sides seem sharp, when I first got it I was afraid of cutting myself.

Other Thoughts: The cap is REALLY hard to get off. The usb connector isn't standard. But it seems to fit in the port pretty well.

4 out of 5 eggsNot great but works well.

Pros: The price and capacity. It formatted successfully and transferred a 3.57GB folder containing various large ISOs and small files and archives to the drive and worked fine. Don't know if this is a pro or con but it transferred about 1.3MB/sec little slow in my opinion.

Cons: A little slow and I wish the picture would of displayed a good view of the connector because I probably would not of purchased it due to the no metal housing. I have a feeling the connector will break easily, possibly while connected.

Other Thoughts: Havent installed the pqi software and doubt I will. Also the cap on mine fits snug for now and yes it took a bit of force to get it into the usb port. Mine is the orange and black 4gb flash. OH and Newegg rocks, got it from Cali to Fla a day earlier than expected.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Item

Pros: I have always trusted pqi products. This item was no exception. Pretty cool lightweight design. I thought for sure the USB connector would break off since its plastic, but its still holding up and I use this item daily.

Cons: It's just a little slow but it gets the job done. I would definitely rather wait a little than pay top dollar for high speed.

Other Thoughts: Be careful when you take the cap off. I always seem to misplace it.

5 out of 5 eggsBilly

Pros: It's 4GB, easy to keep track off, very light weight, not to slow

Cons: The cap is loose, so find a way to keep in on better. It uses a slimed down version of the USB connection - no guide when inserting - can be done backwards

Other Thoughts: for the price i paid for it, im not complaining, I simply supper glued the cap and drive to some fishing line so i wouldnt lose it, works great:) i wouild recomend it if your dont mind how it look - so many options these days :)
