1 out of 5 eggsGeIL memory

Pros: none. Product doesn't work.

Cons: Memory doesn't work. received product DOA. Was told by newegg to contact manufacturer directly for RMA. Have left 4 voicemails on North American number, and emails over the past month with zero response. Customer support non-existant through telephone or email.

Other Thoughts: would never buy product from GeIL again based off customer support alone.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great for Acer C7 Chromebook

Pros: Cheap, Works Fine

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I used this kit to upgrade the ram in my Acer C7. 16gb is Probably overkill, but the memory is recognized in Chrome OS and Ubuntu 12.04 Running Windows 7 in Virturalbox and doing other tasks have been noticeably improved so I have no complaints with this memory

1 out of 5 eggsBuyer Beware

Pros: None

Cons: Only 1 stick worked.

Other Thoughts: Really regret purchasing this memory. Not only did shipping take a little longer than expected, 1 of the sticks that I received was DOA. Now I have to deal with international RMA since Newegg can't do anything because I missed the return window by 1 day.

5 out of 5 eggsGEIL DDR3 1333 in my DV6T i7 720QM

Pros: After reading many comments and forum entries, I saw that there was a possibility that my DV6T quad 720QM 1st gen might support 2x8gig sticks. Indeed it does. But if you ask HP in my case in their forums, check the Intel web site or for that matter other brand memory provider tools, they ALL SAY 8gig max of 2x4gig. THEY ARE WRONG and mine is a 2009 unit I bought. I did not have to update my bios either and its from about HPs release of 2010 they notified me to install. I have not touched it since though they have newer ones out. So I don't try to fix anything not broken. Life is good. Thanks Geil for a so far good product and PRICING!

Cons: None. I waited to long to try this.

Other Thoughts: Hopefully the memory is good. Then again my Samsung 2x2gig I replaced was made in China so I figure these GEIL are made in Tawain probably by one of the major semis should be better and they have test process they seem to use to verify the sticks as well as a web site that has usable information. Also very quick ship even from CA to NY. I mean ordered like Thurs and got Monday

4 out of 5 eggsSweet

Pros: Installed into my ASUS G73JW taking me from 8G to 32G. Bios see's it as well as Windows 8 64bit. Windows rating for memory went from 7.1 to 7.4.

Cons: Shipping, I know it was free and that I ordered this on New Years Eve. But still, 8 days to go from Memphis TN to Central MD??? Tracking had it all over the south eastern region. Knocked an egg for that. Memphis is only 12.5 hours away.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks perfect for my Lenovo Y470

Pros: Reads 16gb, doesn't over heat, doesn't give blue screen of death. can't complaint much.

reads all 16gb in Windows7 Ultimate, in Ubuntu Linux
works great on quad-core i7 laptops.

Cons: Not some fancy brand named memory. But there is really nothing to complaint. I guess . . . the retail package that holds the memory is kind of silly, to have these two sort of staplers on the top two corners, so you'll need a scissors to open it. Other than that, I can't think of anything to complaint.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks flawlessly

Pros: Fast, stable, reliable RAM. Passes memtest86 and OS X Mountain Lion hardware test without a hitch. Works perfectly in my 2011 iMac.

Cons: The price went back up, so I can't afford another set to go from 24GB to 32GB. :-)

2 out of 5 eggsDid not work

Pros: Great price for memory if it's compatible with your computer.

Cons: Did not work with my HP Envy Ultrabook 1043 cl. Each stick worked independently fine, but in tandem they did not cooperate.

3 out of 5 eggsNot Compatible with MacBook Pro Late 2011 13"

Pros: Seems like perfectly good product, just incompatible with my MacBook Pro Late 2011 13", despite seeming compatibility.

Cons: Is recognized and psses memtest with flying colors in my MacBook Pro Late 2011 13". Unfortunately, I began to have application and OS crashes one to two times per day, immediately after installing. Also fails to come out of hibernate mode – generates a loud beeping noise, indicating incompatibility. These chips are either pulling too much current, are have timing compatibility issues, or are somehow damaged in a manner not verified by memtest. Intend to RMA and choose a different brand.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Really great deal. Computer company wanted three times the price for 16gb, and I said no thanks. Installation was simple: I just unscrewed the access panel on the laptop rear and popped these sticks in.

Cons: They don't install themselves? I couldn't find any real cons.

Other Thoughts: I am using these on a laptop with an i3 processor that claims to only support 8gb. ran memtest, and all 16gb worked correctly.
