5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: I have been running them at 1066 since Spring 2008. They are rock solid. Never had a single problem with any of the 4 modules.

Cons: None

2 out of 5 eggsNice Looking, Poor Reliability

Pros: No problems with RMA department.........

Cons: This is now the second set I have gone through. I have been a tech for over 20 years now and take special precautions to insure a safe work environment when I work on my PC. The first set lasted about 8 months, then the brand new system hardware decided not to boot any longer. Installed OCZ memmory and the machine started working again. RMA'ed that set for another, installed the Dominators back into the system alone, within 6 months, the same thing happened again, this time installed OCZ's again. OCZ's working to this day. Waiting for RMA Dominators to come in.

Other Thoughts: Like I said, I have been a tachnician for over 2 decades now building, troubleshooting and repairing systems, This memmory is seriously flawed. It may have a lifetime warranty, but what good does that do if you spend a 3rd of the time in the RMA process when the memory is outdated in a year anyway. I paid extra, for this?

5 out of 5 eggsSo far, so good.

Pros: Works better than my old set of memory, bought another pair just recently to get 4GB.

Cons: Heatsink on one of the Sticks looks bent in, this is mainly due to the USPS(U.S. Postal Service) since they were the one who sent my first set. Lucky enough to get UPS the second time around and there was no physically or technical damage to the second set.

5 out of 5 eggsperformance and reliability

Pros: Awesome cooling, beautiful design, reliable performance.
I have over clocked these to 1150mhz stable. They ran like that for like 2 years.

Cons: I wish they still worked

Other Thoughts: My Psu took them out when it died.I replaced them with 2x 2gb dominator sticks at 1150mhz

3 out of 5 eggsJust My Opinion

Pros: If you get a good set it works like a champ.

Cons: You may not get lucky.

Other Thoughts: Corsair is a great brand and the design of this memory is likewise great. That said I must point to a potential problem with this memory. I have purchased two sets of this memory a month apart. Memory has never been over-clocked, but it is rated to run at 1066 in the right system. The second set had a failure on one stick after less than a month or so in service. It was RMAd and the replacement memory still runs well after a year. The first set failed similarly after about a year in service, and again I RMAd it. I'm expecting delivery of replacement memory today from the factory. Corsair is very good about standing behind their products. I just wish they didn't have to do it so much.

Here's the deal: I did some research and have discovered that this memory type has more than it's share of failures. What sets it apart from other Corsair memory is the heatsink. Corsair uses quality parts, and the designs are well engineered, but like many companies these days I suspect they are chasin

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great price at the time I bought it (10 after rebate) Works fine for me, remember to up the voltage. I have mixed match ram a 2.1 v and a 2.2 v (these) and I decided to up it to 2.2 v hoping the other pair will last. :)

Cons: I had an issue of it not posting a couple time after it was working just fine. Took out all ram and put 1 back in. Reset CMOS on board and redid voltage like said above.

Other Thoughts: Too lazy to run memtest86

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This memory seemed to preform well, while it was alive, as one might think it should.

Cons: This memory died around one and a half years of age. I have 4x1GB and 3 modules have ceased to work and the last is just lingering on... barely.

Other Thoughts: I'd never buy this again. I am going to claim the lifetime warranty only to have it sit on a shelf as spare parts. I've gone with another brand and suggest others do the same.

1 out of 5 eggsLots of failures in beginning of Year 2

Pros: No complaints, when it's working.

Cons: Shortly after the memory's first birthday one module went bad. Corsair does have a lifetime replacement policy, which is nice, but you pay the shipping and have to be without 2 modules (I had 4), since they come in pairs, until your replacements arrive. I ran Memtest86+ on the replacements before installation, and they failed! Sent 'em back. Next set lasted about 2 weeks. Sent 'em back. On the next set my PC wouldn't even POST! Thought it might be my Mobo, but after switching the good modules around into different slots, it didn't seem to be the Mobo. On the next set of replacements, one module had dust on the top/heatsink part of the module in a pattern consistent with those 3 fans they come with. Now they're sending me used replacements? Anyway, I got my last set of replacements yesterday, and they got through 10 passes of Memtest86+ and have been okay running Windows okay, so far. However, they sent me back v1.1 modules and I had sent them v1.2's. Thumbs down!
