The fastest ship in the ocean just got faster. Corsair's XMS3 modules take performance to the next level and beyond. This dual channel kit has been tested together to work at 1600Hz at latencies of 7-7-7-20. Once the modules were tested they were immediately packaged to ensure that the matched sets stayed together. This module set is also Intel XMP certified.
XMP technology lets everyone from the newest gamer to hardcore gamers tweak their systems for maximum speed. Multiple profiles let you easily change the timings as a group. Or you can tune them individually for customized performance that takes into consideration your complete system. A quick switch back to default puts things back if you happen to go too far.
Corsair's legendary reliability is backed with a lifetime warranty. The dual path DHX aluminum heat spreaders on the modules help to extend their life by keeping them cool. The extended chip coolers are supplemented by a PCB cooler. Both sets of coolers are finned for extra surface area. The chip coolers are ribbed for maximum cooling area. Win the race with Corsair XMS3 memory modules.

Do you get what you pay for?
- Pros: Stable, cool, and overclockable. Runs synchronous with the latest Intel CPUs and possibly the next-gen AMD CPUs as well.
- Cons: Price and Availability.
- Other Thoughts: I dropped this in a high end motherboard with an Intel dual core 3.0. I was able to ramp up the FSB strap from 333 to 400, without adjusting voltage or anything else. I was even able to lower the memory command rate timing to 1T. Doing this was able to get a 3.6ghz CPU clock and 1600mhz memory/FSB on my first try.
Updated Review
- Pros: Ok -- Got past the motherboard BIOS issues. It appears that the board was not providing 1.8 VDIMM so one of the two sticks would not boot/POST. However, I was able to get into the BIOS and set the correct voltage. Saved and turned it off...installed the other stick...
...and BAM, both sticks are working, auto-detected at 7-7-7-20 and 1600 MHz.
AWESOME memory!
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: I gave it a 4-egg earlier due to potential motherboard issues, but I solved them, and this stuff rocks!
Running at 1700 MHz right now, can probably do 1800 (same chips as the 1800 Dominator memory), but I need better CPU cooling to test.

Corsair never Disapoint me
- Pros: I always use corsair memory for my pc's. Use corsair and you never will be disappointed. I already bought another set of 6GB I hope that my new EVGA X58 board can handle 12GB of memory
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: None
Impreeive Module
- Pros: You can never take anything away from this memory. High and stable proformance.
- Cons: Price. Yes it's a bit pricey but worth it's weight.
- Other Thoughts: Highly recommended
So far the BEST DDR3!
- Pros: I have had these 2 gigabytes of memory from Corsair for over 3 months now in my ASUS P5E3 Delux Wi/Fi QX9650 @4.0 (1600x10) with EVGA 8800Ultra KO Edition OCed to SSC edition, and I have to say, this has been the best and most stable computer I have every built. I had a few gigabytes of memory from another manufacturer and I was always crashing? I tried many different DDR3 boards and finally realized that it was the momory that was bad! After that I bought this kit, and with the ASUS boards (X38/X48) they have the XMS3 profile - so I just simply set the profile to "1" and it set everything from the timings, voltage, etc to the correct settings and I have not looked back since - not one crash, (except while playing Crysis on all very high! with no AA... :) )
- Cons: NONE -
- Other Thoughts: Maybe they are still a little pricy, but you could just as easily spend as much or more from another manufacturer and not get as good results. I have not tried to overclock the memory though I am almost sure they will go up to 1800 with a little work and maybe loosening of the timings a bit, but I really don't see any reason to, my CPU Dorkfield is running 1600 FSB and they are linked at synced 1.2 (1600=800x2) so with a 4.0 GHz Quad OC and these mem sticks you can not go wrong! Well that is with all the right hardware!
