5 out of 5 eggsSecond Review

Pros: This is my 2nd review, I have had this RAM for over a year now, and I am very happy with it. Runs good and is Prime95 stable for 12 hours at 1800 with timings of 8-8-8-24-2T-7-46-12-19-35-7.8 @ 1.80V, on evga 790i SLI mobo, with QX9650 @ 1800 x 9 = 4050 ghz (with water cooling). Not too shabby. (can go higher, but not for me for 24/7 use.)

Cons: Needs CPC = 2T to be stable on my 790i mobo, this is a slight disappointment, as I usually like 1T for less latency, but not much of a difference when you are at 1800. Also this RAM does not overclock much beyond 1850, can get up to 1880's if you use 2.0-2.1 volts, which is crazy high for me. Included box of three fans is loud and annoying. After 1 year, still not sure if I need it, but I use it anyway, to keep dimms "Cool".

Other Thoughts: Current price is 1/2 of what I paid for this same RAM 16 months ago, so consider it a bargain. Bottom line: this is Great RAM, and you won't be sorry.

3 out of 5 eggsRead this if you're planning to use 8GB of this memory

Pros: DDR3 1800

Cons: Expensive, voltage hungry, runs pretty hot. A bit high... may get in the way of a large after market cooler. I ended up breaking a few fins to have my Xigmatek seated on AMD AM3 boards.

Other Thoughts: Voltage hungry if you're planning to use 4 sticks. I had to feed it 2.05 on a DFI and 1.98 on an MSI board to make it to Windows and they're only running at 1600MHz at the moment. Relatively hot... that's why they come with active cooling. They're not fast as some put it... I didn't notice any difference. I like my Mushkin Ascent way better.

5 out of 5 eggsPrice is ridiculous to by 2 sets

Pros: Quality Heatsinks note that heatsinks not spreaders.
flat strips of metal those are about useless with todays closed spaced sockets it takes air flow exchange to cool and surface area exposed to do the job. Stable replaced some OCZ Reapers. I did not buy for over clockling but stabality and decent heatsinks

Cons: Price drooped 30.00 day after I bought some. DDR2 dominators are 80.00 Does Not Make Sense 254.00 I want a second pair BUT

Other Thoughts: other say 64 bit systems only 32 not supported worked on my 32 XP pro

but you need 64 to use more than 4GB

3 out of 5 eggsLimitation By Motherboard

Pros: Great Dual Channel Memory.

Anyone trying to get 2000MHZ will not get it as most Motherboards end around 1900. It would take much OverClocking knowledge to tweak to 1900 let alone nearly impossible for 2000.

Cons: The Price.

Note: More that likely you'll have to OC./change the Memory Timings and increase DDR3 Voltage withing the BIOS to get 1600/1800 don't expect to get 2000 as even 1900 would be very hard.

Other Thoughts: Need to check the specifications of your Motherboard if it will run DDR3 1800. Also OverClocking (changing BIOS) will be needed to obtain 1800. Generally they'll automatically set to 1333MHz which is standard/default
as DualCore2 CPU's/Quads also set for 1333MHz operation.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Mem but extreme price

Pros: Will work on just about any Dual Channel memory Motherboard.

Cons: Price, should be 60 percent less.

Many mgfrs have cut prices plus rebates.

Triple Channel is on the market so Dual Channel is heading to the bottom as less likely to mfgr newer and better modules.

Other Thoughts: With stagnate US economy. To move items would be to slash prices.

I'd purchase 2 sets for the price of 1 today if given.

4 out of 5 eggsNIce Memory Modules

Pros: Said to operate fast or as specified.

Cons: Cost.
Memory has been dropping across the board.

Should be around $120-$140 for the Dual Channel set.
Especially with marketing of Triple Channel which most MFGR's have abandon making Dual channel.

Other Thoughts: Cut the price by 60 percent , I'd purchase 2 complete sets tomorrow.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Stuff

Pros: 1)The ram is very fast.
2)Overclocked to 1800.
3) timings 8-8-8-24 (did it manually)

Cons: 1)I've tried to overclock farther from 1800, but it would seem overclocking above 1800 would either cause lock ups or get blue screens.
2)You have to set the timmings manually when you first install the ram.

Other Thoughts: The ram seems to only overclock to 1800 farther from that gives me lock ups and blue screens.

Computer specs: Quad 9450(3.6 ghz), 7200 RPM seagate HD, Gtx280, EVGA ULTRA SLI (MB), and finally Corsair Dominator 4gb 1800 MHZ

5 out of 5 eggsExelence in every aspect

Pros: Extreamly Overclockable, Verry stable!

Cons: Price is way out there One has to have a definate love for PC's.

Other Thoughts: Personaly I would not use this memory in a 32 bit system. while you may have some benefit bottom line is that it is NOT supported!
