Corsair makes overclocking easy. Its Dominator series Triple Channel kits set the standard for enthusiast-oriented memory module kits developed for the up-to-the-minute Intel Nehalem platform. This triple channel 6GB kit is rated to run at 1600MHz and has CL 8-8-8-24 timings for speedy performance. Each kit is 100% hand tested for performance and compatibility.
To keep everything running cool, these modules use DHX (Dual-path Heat eXchange) technology. The patented heat removing PCB is surrounded by Corsair's signature heat sink with fins and ribs for maximum surface area for cooling. The set comes with the optional AirFlow fan system just to keep things as cool as possible. These combine to give you cool running memory even under the hottest action. So game hard, game long; your memory can handle it!
This new 6GB kit ensures optimal performance via an ideal combination of low voltage requirements, speed, and latency, so it's a perfect match for the Nehalem platform to unleash performance you could only dream of before.

Amazing
- Pros: Great RAM, pretty expensive but all the options were with the i7's requirements so I thought I might as well splurge and get the 1600. No problems with bios recognizing it (although that's more of a motherboard feature).
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: Make sure you space the RAM out and put them in the right slots. I put all the RAM together in my 6 slot motherboard and only 2 sticks were detected. Read the instructions!
Great memory, glad I got these
- Pros: This is good memory. What I found interesting is my board (Gigabyte EA58 Extreme) set these when on auto at 9-9-9-24, 1t. Maybe that's standard for the triple channel kits but CPU-Z indicates they should run at 2t when at 1600...and they have been rock solid at that. No extra voltage (well, at 1.65 volts but that is the posted voltage for these sticks). I'm also OCing my CPU by a small amount. Again, maybe that's common but seeing 1t instead of 2t as the "auto" setting was amusing. Only setting I had to set in the BIOS was to go from 1333 to 1600, other then voltage.
- Cons: None. Some people may mention price but although this isn't a flame of that, I always find it silly to complain about price if I'm willing to buy the item. Oh, would be nice if they were cheaper, sure. But eh. :)
- Other Thoughts: Like another review said, check the proper slots for your motherboard. May seem obvious, but I put my three sticks into the blue slots on my board before checking the manual, board refused to post. So, moved them to the white slots (which is what my manual suggests for 3 sticks) and voila, it posted. Have a feeling the X58 boards due to the onboard controller with the Core i7's might be slightly more touchy on how the memory is configured/placed on the board.
