Corsair makes overclocking easy. Its Dominator series Triple Channel kits set the standard for enthusiast-oriented memory modules developed for the up-to-the-minute Intel Core i7 processor / Intel X58 Express Chipset. This triple channel 6GB kit is rated to run at 1600MHz and has CL 8-8-8-24 timings for speedy performance. Each kit is 100% hand tested for performance and compatibility.

To keep everything running cool, these modules use DHX (Dual-path Heat eXchange) technology. The heat-removing PCB is surrounded by Corsair's signature heat sink with fins and ribs for cool running memory even under the hottest action. So game hard, game long, your memory can handle it!

4 out of 5 eggsDominator

Pros: Look great, work well.

Cons: Can't get it to stay in 1600.

Other Thoughts: Needed to overclock to get the specs on the RAM, wouldn't stay at those specs, would always revert back to 1100something. Not sure if it's the memory or the motherboard, but still works well.

3 out of 5 eggsFirst set bad, 2nd set good

Pros: Fast
Affordable

Cons: Quality control issues?
No recall notice

Other Thoughts: The first pair I ordered (in 2009) caused my system to randomly freeze. After replacing every single component in my computer, to include the CPU, motherboard, power supply and even the case, the memory chips were the last thing I expected to be the problem. When I contacted Crucial they asked me for the revision number on the sticks and immediately confirmed I had a pair that were part of bad production run. They sent me some new sticks (after I sent my old one's in) and my system has worked flawlessly since.

I swear I registered these with the Crucial website but I guess I didn't. Nevertheless, a bulletin announcing the defective batch of memory that made it into the wild (and on newegg) should have been posted on the companies website.

1 out of 5 eggsEVGA Known Issue

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Haven't been able to fix the 3.99gb useable out of the 6gb installed issue. Read a lot of the same issues online and people are all using EVGA motherboards. I'm guessing it's not very compatible with EVGA for some reason.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We're sorry to hear that you're running into issues with our memory kit. Please contact our Tech Support and we'll help you trouble shoot this issue with the capacity issue.

Thank you,
Corsair Customer Support

5 out of 5 eggsShort & sweet

Pros: It's flawless. Literally.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I threw two sets of these into my g1.assassin, posted, booted, overclocked, and started gaming with zero issues across the board.

It does exactly what it's supposed to, and carries whatever load I throw at it. If this RAM were running for President, I'd vote for it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I have had these installed in my Asus P6X58D Premium MoBo for almost 2 years now, no problem whatsoever. I'm intend to buy another set as soon as my tax refund comes through. They are even less expensive now .. so thats a GOOD thing :)

Cons: none that I have experienced.

2 out of 5 eggsHad Issues

Pros: None, I've purchased a lot of Corsair RAM over the years and have had great results with it, but not this set.

Cons: Owned this RAM for almost two years. Continue to have problems with it. Finally replaced it with a 12GB set of the same RAM, and all works fine. I'll be RMA'ing this with Corsair.

Other Thoughts: Used with ASUS P6X58 Premium, Core i7-930 OC'd to 3.8 GHz. This RAM worked fine at times, then would just crash. Even at stock XMP settings it would occasionally fail. Ran numerous Mem Tests, stick at a time, various timings, and speeds, and it would pass 99.8% of the times, it's the other .2% that gave me grief.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory For i7

Pros: I've got this memory overclocked to around 1850MHz at 1.65V, and it works great with my i7930.

Cons: None at all

Other Thoughts: You should buy this if you need triple channel memory.
