Just like corsairs once dominated the seas as the fastest ships around, Corsair Dominator memory is the fastest memory around. This 6GB kit of PC3 15000 memory will handle anything you can throw at it. Each set is tested together, so you know there will be no problems running them in triple-channel mode. This is the ultimate kit for gamers and others that need the best memory out there for their 64-bit systems.

To keep everything running cool, these modules use DHX (Dual-path Heat eXchange) technology. The heat removing PCB is surrounded by Corsair's signature heat sink with fins and ribs for maximum surface area for heat dissipation. The set comes with the optional AirFlow fan system just to keep things as cool as possible. These combine to give you cool running memory even under heavy loads. So game hard, game long; your memory can handle it.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Memory

Pros: Great ram, easily performs high above the rated values. Currently running @ 7-7-7-20 @ 1780MHz. Blazing fast, I highly recommend this RAM! Memtest stable, no heat problems w/o cooler.

Cons: The ram fan does not fit with Prolimatech Megahalems, so I had to leave it out. I have it with a push/pull config. Pull fan is a scythe ultra kaze 120mm (slip-stream 110.31CFM), push is an scythe ultra kaze 120 (133 CFM). The reason is ram clearance, but well worth it.

3 out of 5 eggsNot for Rampage ii Gene

Pros: Works great in motherboards other than Asus Rampage ii gene

Cons: Does not work in Asus Rampage ii gene with bios updated several times unless you change the bios manually, even then memory crashes without O.C. ing even when set to PC800. Crash scrambled my boot HD, hours to reset up sytem and hours spent getting ADOBE to reset my activation code.

Other Thoughts: Kingston HyperX 1800 CL9 great even O.C. to 1600+ running with i7 920 O.C.'d. yo 3.19 GHZ rock solid

4 out of 5 eggsNice But Bulky

Pros: RAM seems pretty fast, easy to install, great upgrade

Cons: Bulky -- I could not put my harddrive bay in the computer case because the fan and heatsink stick up so far.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Memory; Issues running at spec

Pros: Fast memory, without a doubt

Cons: Since last BIOS revision (0704 for ASUS P6T Deluxe V2,) I have had memory-related problems (am posting at ASUS to see if they have a fix as well). I cannot seem to get the memory to run at the rated spec. I have 12 Gb (2 kits) and had no issue running at rated speed at all prior to the bios update (tried to roll it back, but the utility won't let me). The BIOS update has been the only change I have made, and now my system blue-screens trying to run higher than 1066. I am thinking I may have to juice the RAM a little, but can't see what difference a BIOS update would make (never seen something like this before in 10 years of building my own computers). I also don't want to fry my 920. If anyone has any ideas, please post.

Other Thoughts: Hoping to get things running as speedily as before...Corsair, I'd love some help.

5 out of 5 eggsFast and stable

Pros: This is the fastest ram I've even seen, yet very stable and ran Linx and Memtest with no errors on my speeds. On my everest bechmarks I get double the read speeds from my previous c2q qx9650 system DDR2 1066mhz. This ram has great overclocking headroom. I have my clock to 1806mhz 8-8-8-24 1t with my 920 D0 at 3.8ghz (21X161) with turbo on. You will need this ram if you want to oc your i7 on extreme chips. I bet it can do 2000mhz as well with looser timings. Voltage set to 1.63 in the bios.

Cons: No need of the big bulky fan since it will block my intake to my noctua cooler. Instead I use the antec spot fan.
Other than that none, the ram it self is superior.

Other Thoughts: CPU: i7 920 @ 3.8ghz; Board Evga x58 132-BL-E758-A1
Ram: Corsair Dominator TR3X6G1866C9DF
Video card: 2X EVGA GTX280

5 out of 5 eggsLove them

Pros: Fast, look great, come with ram fan that will sit over 6 sticks of ram and they're stable. Fans seem fairly quiet, or at least my other fans are drowning out the sound.

Cons: The fan cover doesn't seem to secure to the ram all that well, but good enough that it won't fall off. It actually clamps over the ram tabs on the motherboard.

Other Thoughts: I've got these in my new rig with an i7 920 D0. The ram isn't running at 1866 like speced, but there's a reason for that. On the i7 mobo's, the ram speed is linked to the processor speed. I wanted a 4Ghz i7 (20x200) but if i used the 1600 MHz ram, the ram would be running at max rated values. I instead got this 1866 Mhz version so that I have more freedom with the CPU clock and it's not really a problem if the ram is running a bit under spec, I can just tighten the timings and I have overall more freedom.

5 out of 5 eggsPhotoshop is smokin' fast

Pros: I'm a photographer and processes heavy, 21 megapixel TIFF files. I have to edit hundreds of images in short time frames without hardware lag bogging me down. I chose this RAM because I needed parts that would meet the demand of my work-flow. I'm not a bit disappointed with this product.

I initially loaded the XMP profile and had the advertised timings loaded just fine. I eventually overclocked my processor thus not requiring the profile. My OC pushed my RAM to 1883mhz and my work-flow has just been flying! I love this RAM, what else is there to say?

These are quality made; nice looking heatsinks/fans. Extra Mhz headroom for when software compatibility catches up. I bought this on sale/free shipping and I think I got a steal of a deal.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsWorked like a charm

Pros: Work after manually setting timings in BIOS as rated speed with no problems. My dual fan kit was quite not elevating any more noise in a Antec 900 case

Cons: Not really a con but no difference between 3gb to 6gb to date

Other Thoughts: Relevant system specs:
Case Antec 900
CPU i975
CPU Fan/Heatsink NOCTUA NH-U12P SE1366
EVGA Classified e670
CORSAIR CMPSU-1000HX
BFG GTX 285 Graphics (quiet manufacture fan)
