5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM at a Great Price!!

Pros: First time Corsair buyer and I am not disappointed!! Always bought G. Skill and Kingston HyperX in the past, but this time the price and good reviews lured me in as I was trying to save on the cost of a computer rebuild for my church. This RAM is fast and our new MSI board recognized it and I didn't need to do a thing but plug it in!

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: Just buy it!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: I have GeoVision GV-800 DVR card and the card doesn't like RAM more than 2GB. It gave constant BSODs with either 2x4GB or single 4GB. With this memory the system is rock solid.

Cons: Price. There are 2x2GB kits that are cheaper than this kit.

Other Thoughts: I run it as DDR3 1600 with 9-11-11 timings.

5 out of 5 eggssolid

Pros: Rock solid, just ordered these matching pair to round my memory out to 4 gigs. So far they work good, I say stick to memory with rated speed and don't mess with memory that are xmp for your intel system.

Some people have good luck with them, I can say I'm not one them. If you want a clean install or reinstall, and don't want to take a chance the process stalling out or get the blue screen of death.

Cons: none so far, using them in my HTPC

2 out of 5 eggsHalf DOA

Pros: Good price if they work. I've used Cosair memory before and never had a problem until now.

Cons: I put these RAM cards in a PC on which I was reinstalling Windows. Each time I tried to reinstall I would get a different error or a bluescreen. After several attempts I noticed the bluescreens didn't happen if I only had one card in, but with the other one in, bluescreens every time. Oddly, both cards passed memory tests despite one of them clearly failing intermittently.

Other Thoughts: Next time I'm trying GSkill. Because I discovered the defect in these RAM cards within less than one month, NewEgg has accepted my RMA for a refund minus a restocking fee. I must say I find it upsetting that I had to pay shipping both directions and a restocking fee to test out defective memory. Kinda feels like the customer should be charging a fee for wasted time. Oh well. Caveat emptor.

Manufacturer Response:

If the memory modules test OK individually, typically you have an issue with either the BIOS settings or with the memory controller. Please contact Tech Support and we'll be happy to assist you.

5 out of 5 eggsThe RAM to buy!

Pros: great ram - was recognized right off on my MSI 770-G45 mother board.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Would buy again and recommend to others

5 out of 5 eggsGood choice

Pros: Intel motherboard automatically recognized the memory and posted it at the correct speed unlike the patriot sector 5 or the viper class. Which I tried to adjust to the rated speed and end up getting the blue screen of death couple of times; made my installation of win 7 64bit frustrating. Now I might have to purchase to more stick of corsair for a total of 4 gigs to be satisfied : )

Cons: none : )

Other Thoughts: If building a system using the i core cpu's or the 2nd generation; I probably stick to the the mainstream consumer widely used brands like corsair, crucial, kingston, etc.. for better compatibility. While some brands that are good; still need refining.

5 out of 5 eggshappy

Pros: works out of the box ,paired with athlon x3 running with unlocked cores to x4
well built heat sinks only 4 years back you would have paid 50-100 plus for ram like this

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: have not tried to mess with the latency or clocks yet as the computer is still in burn in mood
but the ram has held up under 2 days of Prime95 torcher test so far
