Corsair's Dominator family represents the ultimate in performance technology engineering. And through further extensive and exhaustive in-house testing and qualification for guaranteed reliability and compatibility comes the Dominator GT, the ultimate solution for the ultra enthusiast and overclocker. Corsair Dominator GT only uses highly screened IC’s to guarantee performance and over-clockability. As for cooling, it uses ultra efficient Dual-path Heat Xchange (DHX) cooling technology and optional Airflow Fan to maximize heat transfer. With removable heat sinks, Corsair Dominator memory modules can even be outfitted with additional upcoming accessories with enhanced features.

  • newegg Dominator GT 3 x 2GB Memory Kit Corsair performs rigorous testing and screening on all components to select only the best for Dominator memory modules, such as high frequency and/or low latency capabilities for each IC, maximum interoperability and reliability as a united group. Designed to deliver outstanding performance and compatibility in Intel Core i7 triple-channel systems, this Corsair Dominator GT 6GB kit has been tested to operate at outrageously fast 1866MHz at ultra-low latency of 9-9-9-24 and 1.65v, making it ideal for enthusiast and overclocker.
  • newegg Dual-path Heat eXchange Technology Corsair-exclusive Dual-path Heat eXchange (DHX) technology utilizes both conductive and convective cooling paths to effectively remove heat from the memory circuit board for maximized heat dissipation, resulting in enhanced reliability, stability and performance capability even in the most extremely overclocked memory module.
  • newegg AirFlow - Extra Cooling for Extreme Overclocking The Airflow fan unit contains two 60mm tachometer-controlled fans to provide impinging airflow to the memory subsystem. With the moderate RPMs required to provide adequate forced air, the Airflow fan is nearly silent. The fan easily clamps onto most motherboards.
  • newegg Support for Intel XMP Intel Extreme Memory Profiles (XMP) technology provides a robust, profile-based overclocking solution for novice and experienced overclockers - easily overclock your platform by selecting the predefined profile in the BIOS, or manually adjust frequency and timings to extract maximum performance from your system.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Sticks.

Pros: Initially purchased for a socket 1366 build but settled on a core i5 2500k. Installed two sticks in dual channel, set my mobo to 1866 and its rock solid. These are rated at 1.65v but i had no problems dropping to 1.5 and even lowered my cr (command rate) to 1t. Not sure if these are rated for 1t but mine run at 1866 9-9-9-24 1t @ 1.5v no problems. Great purchase

Cons: None, except heatsinks may be high for some mid towers.

Other Thoughts: First purchase of Corsair's high end performance line of ram, am not dissapointed.

5 out of 5 eggsLooks Great, Runs Great

Pros: I had no issues getting this to run at 1866 with my Asus Rampage III Formula. All I had to do was to specify the speed in the BIOS. I have had no issues maintaining that speed with a variety of different CPU overclocks. I have not tried, nor do I intend to try, overclocking the RAM itself. The provided airflow fan also looks really sharp but it's not really needed for cooling the RAM. However, I think it's an attractive way to get some additional airflow inside the case generally.

Cons: None at all.

5 out of 5 eggsA Workhorse

Pros: It works, it lasts, and if it doesn't then you can have the set replaced. High quality and worth the money.

Cons: None. And I tried thinking of one too. Heat, speed, timings, voltage... all good. So, no cons.

Other Thoughts: My first set, back in '09, must have been recalled because Corsair didn't even have the model# listed when I went to RMA a few months later. And the reason I initially bought the 1866s was because they hadn't released the 2000s yet, but I was building my machine right then. Anyway, Corsair promptly replaced the whole set with the current model and they have been working flawlessly. Corsair's RMA process is really painless, so if you happen to get a bad set, it won't be long before you have a new one.

I first used the set in the Asrock Supercomputer, and now use them in my Asus P6X58D-E. I had no problems with either mobo recognizing the profiles, and no tweaking was necessary. I paid a nice chunk of change for this memory in '09, it's about half the price now, but these were definitely worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsI ran out of catchy titles

Pros: No problems on my rampage iii formula. Matches the color scheme as well. I plan on buying a second set for 12gb's

Cons: Had to set to 1866 from bios. Don't let that turn you away it's easy.

5 out of 5 eggsLove Them Hate Other Reviews

Pros: This ram runs at 1866mhz 9-9-9-24 2T brilliantly. To get it to work you may need to adjust the clock speed on the cpu if it is overclocked. It looks great and is made of high quality materials. It overclocks easy as well (if you know what you are doing) and runs cool when overclocked even with the fan off. I will continue to use Dominators they have always run great.

Cons: The fan will grow loud after a few months maybe less for some this is the third corsair ram set i have bought over 3yrs and they have all continued to work but since the ram runs well without the fan it is just better to remove it. Corsair if the fans haven't worked for years and the product cost this much please fix it.

Other Thoughts: To all the other people that rated the ram bad because you don't have a clue how to work on a computer, stop taking the time to trash the ram in reviews and use it learning how to use the bios. This ram will run well over 1866 and under 9-9-9-24 with some common tweaks to the settings, and then all but one of you rate yourselfs high tech knowledge. HBSPolka I have a Rampage III Extreme and it works wonderful, how can you have a mb like that and not know how to use it. Check Forums if you need help.

Sorry for that Everyone I know everyone wants to say it sometimes.

4 out of 5 eggsThis Memory will run at 1866 MHz

Pros: Runs at 1866 MHz as advertised, but requires a little tweaking beyond just setting the XMP profile in bios in some cases.

Cons: Required some additional bios tweaking to run at 1866 MHz. I have an Asus P6T deluxe motherboard, Core i7 920 (not overclocked). I don't believe the issues are with the RAM, it's more an issue of the bios vendors not keeping up with the new XMP profiles.

Other Thoughts: The RAM is XMP compatible which implies you should be able set the XMP switch in the bios and it should run stable at 1866 MHz. However, this was not the case with my motherboard. After some searching on the Corsair forums I was able to find an appropriate voltage setting for the QPI/DRAM for my motherboard (1.4875 V). Other than this adjustment, the XMP profile was correct.

5 out of 5 eggsWow!

Pros: Very good build quality. All I did was load XMP profile and voila ram running to spec. Couldnt ask much more!

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: Im running this ram on asus sabertooth x58 and after a quick bios update mobo is terrific. In not sure why people are bashing this ram, for this price there is no greater value
