5 out of 5 eggsThe Staple of Performance

Pros: Very Stable, Overclocks Easily, High Quality Heatsinks.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've been using Corsair Dominator RAM for years. Its some of the best desktop memory you can buy as an enthusiast. The chips are selected from the best bins, so they overclock easily, and are stable when pushed hard. Corsair also uses a custom PCB with a heavy dual heatsink design called DHX. The sticks are solid and built like a tank. Night and day compared to their Vengeance line. These are rated at 1600mhz, but will clock much higher if you have the voltage. A great value compared to faster rated sticks from other inferior brands. Once you try Dominator ram everything else seems sub standard.

Pros: Worked great for five months. Corsair handled the RMA pretty well. Began using the replacement memory today.

Cons: Went bad after five months.

Other Thoughts: This memory taught me a lot about troubleshooting memory problems.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: Works

Cons: not that big of deal, but had to manually change timings/voltage in bios, somewhat pricey, although newegg does offer it for the cheapest price $62 + free shipping.

Pros: -these are rock solid, both in performance AND in quality. worth EVERY penny. dont go with any other just because of price.
-very cool. my ram is currently running around 40% right now and actually cool to the touch. i feel no heat what so ever...

Cons: these are a little tall. granted i WC my cpu so im not sure what coolers will not fit, but if WCing (either SC or custom) these will fit (obviously)

Other Thoughts: other thoughts.... Freds comment to a T. very well said, and i agree 100%

5 out of 5 eggsFast, Effective, Runs Cool

Pros: Well built construction on heatsinks, not like some of the ram out there that is made of plastic that falls off a simply looks cheap.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: You may need to go into BIOS and set your timings and voltage manually to obtain speed that it is rated at and make your computer run as fast as expected with this quality of ram.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful

Pros: Every now and again, you run across a product that operates with downright mysterious efficiency.

When installed in a very nice custom build, a few competing sets worked, but the system just didn't have the "feel" I wanted. Directly after installing these units, that build and a many, many others went from nice to unbelievable.

The RAM seems to soak performance hiccups right up. Other units work well. These bring new heights of reliability and headroom to advanced systems.

The effect is that of installing a part that simply shrugs off whatever you throw at it with ease. People who build lots of custom PCs will recognize the occasional magical machine.

Dominator RAM can increase the odds of that happening.

Two things separate nice builds from systems that push the envelope for years: High end power supplies, and great RAM.

Cons: I've no negative comments in regard to these units. They've always performed perfectly.

Rather, I've a cautionary warning. RAM components are mass-produced with fiddly parts, and it doesn't take much of a hitch in production to cause an occasional issue.

Dominator units are made of top bin parts, but everyone cranks out a dud now and again. People should remember that. Corsair does the best they can to keep this to a minimum, but it's going to happen eventually to any manufacturer.

Corsair's difference, however, is unparalleled support and very quick response times. If by slight chance you receive a defective product, they are there for you, and will set you up as soon as possible.

If you ever have an issue, Corsair support services are there to help. Don't worry about negative reviews. You've nothing at all to fear.

Other Thoughts: This stuff is very high quality and worth the money. It's a downright bargain nowadays. The heat sinks may seem tall, but they are adjustable. Numerous upgrade options are available from Corsair to suit the modules to individual taste.

These modules are also some of the most widely compatible DIMMs out there for both Intel and AMD platforms, so odds are your motherboard won't complain.

If you've got the money and you'd like to have this RAM, just go ahead and buy it. It's wonderful, and you've got the full power of Corsair personalized support services backing up your experiences.

I buy a lot of parts, and I've never had issues with Corsair since they've been in business.

5 out of 5 eggsThey Worked

Pros: They worked correctly right out of the box. Couldn't ask for more.
They look cool.

Cons: Sometimes I wonder if I should've gone with 32 gigs of RAM.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory

Pros: Great memory, 2 piece heatsink, top portion of heatsink is easily removable and easy to uninstall via a small hex key or "allen wrench" which makes it versatile for many large Air type heatsinks.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: As someone posted anonymously below Vlad about Noctua heatsinks and compatibility issues. This is untrue, this memory works just fine with them especially an NH-D14 to be specific, maybe not the new NH-L12 because its low clearance than most Noctua's regular offerings and because its suited more towards a HTPC, but it fits fine. The only thing you need to do is remove the top portion of the heatsink via a hex key as mentioned. If you do this you'll, in most cases with motherboards and spacing, have to remove only one top portion of the heatsink on one Dominator memory. And even then the Noctua heastinks and most heatsinks that are 120mm will cover the one heatsink with the top portion removed so you wont even notice its removed and the setup will look flush and clean. Hope this helped cleared things up!
