5 out of 5 eggsWorks good

Pros: - Works great
- Fair Timings
- DDR3 1600
- Heat spreaders
- Dead simple overclocking via XMP (easy to set to 1600)

Cons: - Heat spreaders are pretty high, I didn't have problems with my build but I see how they could easily get in the way of other things such as the CPU heatsink.
- Defaults to 1333 speed until you force it in BIOS to use XMP or set to 1600 speeds. This was expected though.

Other Thoughts: Works perfect, haven't had any issues.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat when it works

Pros: Great when it works with a decent price.

Cons: The Blue screens started, constant program crashing, and at times locking my PC all together all within a month. Running a memory test finally led me to the reason.

Other Thoughts: Not a thrilled Corsair fan here. Had a pre-built PC years ago and my corsair ram failed. In addition, my hx1050 died within one month of my new build along with the RAM. What are the odds only the Corsair products fail and none of the others? I straight out returned the hx1050 and I probably wont RMA the Memory either.

5 out of 5 eggs18 months and running

Pros: I have a Gigabyte P55 board, tried 2 different brands and had memory errors, not the fault of the ram, but just because the mobo is so finicky. I went back to Corsair, bought a pair of these, and in 18 months have not seen a failed ram test or BSOD from vista, through Win 7, and now on Win 8. Just set the XPD in BIOs and forget. Also, this model number has longevity so you can add a second pair if you want to fill all four slots and have the room.

Cons: Heatsinks conflict with most after market coolers over the RAM slot closest to the CPU, but I'm one of those that believes in only using one pair so it doesn't bother me in the least.

Other Thoughts: I see time and again someone dropping an egg because RAM defaults to 1333 when installed and they had to go set the BIOS manually. This is standard Safe Mode since 1333 is the spec for DDR3 and is not the RAM's fault.

5 out of 5 eggsHas yet to dissappoint

Pros: I don't have much experiance comparing memory but I have been able to run many many apps and programs at a time and did so with an intensive game running with no trouble with RAM slowing me down (only am using the 8GB from these two cards)
They have also been used in two different motherboards at this point and did a fine job in both.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: Whenever something goes wrong and I have to open my case so do something I can always see the purtty blue memory cards I have

3 out of 5 eggscrapped out!

Pros: 3 sticks were good out of 4.

Cons: Dead Stick

Other Thoughts: what are the odds, first time buying memory online, first time using Corsair....and the memory I buy turn out to be bad. I bought two of these kits, and one of the sticks ended up being bad, corrupted, or just didn't work.
