5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It works! I have an old Dimension 4100 that I wanted to keep running as a file server and for light internet use. I took out the old 128mb stick and replaced it with this, and the computer now has 512mb and runs a bit smoother.

Cons: No real cons, it was a bit difficult to insert but most RAM is.

Other Thoughts: It is great that you can still find such an old RAM standard at such a reasonable price.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory

Pros: Its been so long ago since I purchased this, but it worked outstanding. The computer itself gave out before the memory did.

Cons: None, just check your compatibility carefully..

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The memory module I have purchased works great. No problems with the one as of yet.

Cons: One of the two memory modules I purchased was defective. It would not pass the POST test on my WIN98 OS.

Other Thoughts: The defective module was returned and they sent me a new module. The new memory module worked as intended. That one that came originally may just have been a defetive batch. So I otherwise think Mushkin is a good producer and have no major complaints against their products.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks in Dell XPS T550

Pros: Works in older Dell XPS T550 which at the was made prior to general availabilty of the 256 meg modules. These are the largest ones that motherboard will use giving you a total of 768meg.

Cons: None - but do check the compatibiliy!

Other Thoughts: Carefully check the compatibiliy with older systems, there are three types of SDRAM 256 meg memory and not all hardware from the 2000 timeframe are fully compatible.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks on Radiant p1510 Point of Sale terminals

Pros: I bought this for our company's many Radiant p1510 terminals, which needed a bump up to 512MB for a software upgrade.

The Radiant vendor wants $100 a stick for their RAM, and they surely know how difficult it is to find a compatible stick of RAM elsewhere. If you have the p1510's, look no further.

Hopefully this review will come up in Google and I'll save some other sysadmin from having to spend a month ordering different kinds of RAM just to see if they'll work.

Cons: None that I'm aware of. I haven't had any bad ones after having purchased over 20 of them.

Other Thoughts: Newegg may not have enough in stock for you to buy all the ones you need at once, but they will replenish their stock within a few days.

Also, writing this review was a pain because apparently Newegg assumes that the abbreviation of "Point of Sale" can only mean one thing! LOL
