Pros: I am pleased with this memory kit. This memory is compatible with the notoriously finicky DG965WH/DG965OT motherboards. Installed this kit on these motherboards and they boot with absolutely no problem, which is refreshing. This memory with the G965 chipset has double the bandwidth of my old rig which had 2GB of DDR400 on a nForce2 chipset. I tested this memory with MemTest86+ for 24 hours (50 complete passes) without error. This memory is solidly reliable. Memory also runs very cool and does not really need heatspreaders. This is is great feature for an energy efficient rig or a tight home entertainment center.

Cons: There are none for my application. I am not into overclocking. SPD is programmed for 5-5-5-18 while it is advertised for 5-5-5-12. Have to go into BIOS to program 5-5-5-12. Kit operates at these settings

Other Thoughts: This memory kit is a great value. I had a bad experience with an earlier Mushkin DDR400 2-2-2 high performance memory kit with an nForce2 chipset which had persistent memory issues. And this happened with three of their kits. I would not have purchased this Mushkin memory kit except that this memory was one of the few relatively inexpensive 1.8V kits that would work with the Intel DG965 motherboards. And the NewEgg community rated it highly. So I took a chance with Mushkin and was not disappointed. Mushkin has been redeemed. They have earned their 5-eggs with this kit. Keep it up Mushkin.

Nice RAM

Pros: Works

Cons: Didn't work right until I fixed the timings

Other Thoughts: I bought this specifically for my HTPC. The same HTPC that kept blue screening me like crazy until I read the front page comment regarding the proper timing.

If I hadn't read that in the comments area, I would have rma'ed.

Now the ram's working great.

Pros: Cheap and gets the job done. Perfect for budget builds.

Cons: No heatsink but such a low voltage may not be necessary.

Other Thoughts: Packaging was weak. When it arrived one of the mem sticks had popped out of its place and was poking out. Got lucky without any damage.

Worked fine, questionable SPD

Pros: System started right up. No memory errors so far.

Cons: RAM is rated per the sticker on the stick at 5-5-5-12 but the BIOS reads the SPD as 5-5-5-18. Nothing a change in the BIOS can't fix, but it does make me wonder.
