5 out of 5 eggsGood RAM if your limit is 2GB

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced 2GB DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Memory for Apple Notebook Model 971559A

Pros: Reliable, well-known manufacturer.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I used this RAM for years without any problems. I was not familiar with Mushkin when I purchased this RAM, but I had read good things about them. The RAM worked perfectly in my 2007 MacBook.

If your computer is capable of using more RAM, I'd pass on this, though. But if you are putting this in an older laptop that is limited in regards to max RAM, go for it.

3 out of 5 eggs1 worked 1 didn't

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced 2GB DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Memory for Apple Notebook Model 971559A

Pros: After running the rember test the RAM that actually worked tested very well on my mid-2008 macbook pro.

Cons: One of the ram sticks was dead on arrival

Other Thoughts: The return policy with Newegg is pretty good so I would say this ram is worth it just be aware that you may have to return it to get a new one.

5 out of 5 eggsBig Upgrade for a Low Cost

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced 2GB DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Memory for Apple Notebook Model 971559A

Pros: Popped in 2 of these sticks expecting my old(er) macbook pro to only recognize 3, and I was fine with that. It recognized all 4 gigs and I couldn't be happier, worked from the first boot.

Cons: Haven't noticed any yet.

2 out of 5 eggsbroke, broke, then worked?

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced 2GB DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Memory for Apple Notebook Model 971559A

Pros: cheap price, good compatability

Cons: i had a lot of problems with my computer crashing and cusing kernel panics

Other Thoughts: i went through 2 sets of these both turned out to be defective. it would cause my computer to crash if it was ever on for more than 20 minutes. after getting it replace the second time i sold the new set to a friend and hes using it in the same mbp version i have but its working for him. i ended up buying a different brand of memory and that one is working for me. id say its hit or miss, but if you get problems with these, switch off them as soon as you can.
