5 out of 5 eggs8GB @ 831mhz [4-4-4-12] 2.25v

Pros: I have an ASUS P5K Premium motherboard that is water cooled. I have 4 of these DIMM’s for a total of 8GB @ 831mhz [4-4-4-12] with 2.25v. The voltage for this memory is rated at 2.2 – 2.25v. I have the memory cooled by a Coolmaster fan that is silent but practically worthless, you cannot feel any wind but the memory runs cool and the fan is silent. Mushkin recommends a fan around this voltage level, you would probably be fine without it but I would recommend a fan above the memory if running it this fast and with this voltage. FSB is at 415mhz CPU is at 3.75ghz Running 8GB this fast with low 4-4-4-12 is almost unheard of.

Cons: I needed 2.25v, my machine would not complete Prime95 with 2.2v.

Other Thoughts: I have never heard of any other company but Mushkin making 2GB DIMM’s that run at this speed and low latency.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Not a lot to say, the numbers should speak for themselves, this is FAST memory.

Cons: None really. Memory is pretty simple :P How bout someone coming up with some cool software or hardware bonuses for high end memory?

Other Thoughts: I do recommend checking your mobo's compatability, but Mushkin tend to be better than most companies about compatability.

3 out of 5 eggsMight be decent.

Pros: 2G for each channel. Not bad.

Cons: Very unstable with 680i board. Had random Blue screens on my Asus Striker Extreme. Might be better on other boards.

Other Thoughts: Decent, But does not fit my board.

5 out of 5 eggsGamers best friend

Pros: Have this in my new system and love it. Waiting to be able to afford my 8800Ultras (3 weeks) before I start overclocking. Black heatspreaders match my mobo and D-Tek waterblock, sexy!

Cons: None, performance per dollar is excellent with this kit. Originally planned on buying the pc2 8500 kit (996562) but you can overclock these to the same specs.

Other Thoughts: System -> ASUS Crosshair, AMD X2 6000+ w/D-Tek Fusion waterblock, 2X 150GB Raptors in RAID0, Thermaltake Mozart TX case and 1200W ToughPower PSU, X-Fi Elite Pro, Thermochill PA120.2 w/ Scythe S-Flex fans, Laing D5 pump. Soon to add 2 evga 8800Ultra Superclocked w/EK full coverage blocks and more Thermochill rads and AlphaCool HDD blocks.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Ram

Pros: This RAM works very well, I have it on my MB GIGABYTE GA-965QM mobo, timings are perfect, and heat dissipation is great, no problems what so ever. I run it in a Thermaltake Lanbox with an 8800 GTX and had to move the HD holderover and drill a hole to mount it to make room for the 8800 GTX.

If you are wanting the best ram, I would say this is it. Even over the 99562 model numbered RAM. The price difference and ability to OC this RAM make it far better price/performance wise. Also, if you check out xbit labs, the differnce in timings vs Mhz is not big enough to justify the price IMHO.

Cons: Perhaps the price? I don't really see the price being that bad for the performance and fact its a 4Gb Kit.

Other Thoughts: Whoever wrote te bad review below didn't actually run any benchmarks apparently, either that or he has no clue.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat stuff, best there is!

Pros: Wow is all I can say! Stuff is just amazing. I have it running at 1066mhz at 5-5-4 timings. I was able to run 4-4-4 up to about 900mhz, 5-4-4 up to about 950mhz and 5-5-4 up to where I'm at now. Might go higher, but I'm maxing other components in my pc. I got it when it first came out and was cheaper :). Usually stuff goes way down in price, but I heard that the IC pricing went WAY up due to the crazy demand and the IC makers upping the price 3x what is was. I've been happy with Mushkin and their service. Poster who got lower scores at tighter timings should blame motherboard not the ram. Probably an Asus P5B deluxe and funky issues with timings in bios.

Cons: it's not free

Other Thoughts: If you want the best, look no further. Their 8500 is better/faster but alot more $$$. I think this is just about as good at a good savings. Kudos to Mushkin!

1 out of 5 eggsworst ram

Pros: none

Cons: is a fake timing of 43310 when i put the ram @ 44510 it gives me a score of 7900 if i put this ram @43310 the score lowers to 7500

Other Thoughts: iam never buying mushking again ,going back to gskills pq

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent memory

Pros: I was worried about buying this memory since there were no other reviews on NewEgg. However, I did find a positive review elsewhere on the web, so I took a chance and bought it. I have to say that I'm thrilled that I did. I installed it on my MSI P6N Platinum board and it just smokes! I'm not an overclocking gamer (digital photographer), so I have no desire to make modifications in bios. But at the default settings, it's all I need.

Cons: PRICE!!! The most expensive item in my new system!
