DOA
- Pros: Inexpensive
- Cons: Does not work.
- Other Thoughts: Sending this back to Newegg, going with another brand. I installed these in two of the exact motherboards, and both times I got no post. I don't have the time to deal with returns or RMA's, I would just like something that works. It is probably just an isolated incident, but I need something working now, not an additional week from now.
Great value for AM3 systems
- Pros: I've had this RAM for almost six months (since May 2009). I've actually got the timings set to 8-8-8-20-27-1T (SPD value is 9-9-9-24-33-1T) at the default 1.5v. This is all the more impressive because I'm running four sticks (8GB total) on an AMD 790GX mobo, and I've gotten these tighter timings without increasing the memory controller's voltage. I tested stability with Prime95 and memtest86+ for a few nights with no errors detected. This is great RAM for a great price.
- Cons: I wouldn't buy this memory if I was planning on massive overclocking; mushkin sells memory with higher rated speeds and tighter timings.
- Other Thoughts: I hate writing reviews, but I've had great luck with mushkin in the past, so I thought I'd put in a good word for them. I've previously used two of their DDR2 memory kits and I never had any issues with those either. If you do have an issue, mushkin's customer service is based in the US, and they have a reputation for being helpful (check their forums).
Amazing RAM
- Pros: This RAM is fast, cool, and performs better then any i've ever purchased..and seeing as I do custom builds, for alot of people, thats good.
- Cons: Absolutely none. Bought 4 sticks totaling 8gb's, and all run my windows ultimate 64bit incredibly.
- Other Thoughts: Buy it! 5 stars for both Newegg, and Mushkin. Keep it up guys.
