5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Cheap for the amount of storage
Faster than standard HDDs
Quiet (no sound)
Low heat

Cons: 1.8", not standard sata
Had to buy an adapter (was expected)
Because of it's size, mounting would be tricky

Other Thoughts: I bought a 1.8" to 2.5" drive caddy on a certain auction website (can't be named here, ryhmes with "emay"), for this drive. It allows me to mount, and connect my drive to my pc, working flawlessly.

Runs great with a fresh copy of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

6.4 on Window's Experience Index

5 out of 5 eggssolid performer

Pros: Cheap, SSD speed, low heat signature, Perfect for OS. The small form factor allows it to be mounted in unusual locations. Using double sides tapes, two units can be easily mounted where a single unit should be. I primarily use it as a OS drive in a HTPC.

Cons: None at this point.

Other Thoughts: Cables and mounting locations must be checked before purchase.

3 out of 5 eggsWhere is My Hard Drive

Pros: Great product I should guess, if it ever arrives.

Cons: I checked the UPS tracker today and this shipment originates from Edison, New Jersey!! Ordered on November 3 and it still sits at the shipper waiting on pickup as of business close November 6.

Way to go ... ship a product from a disaster zone.

There are no eggheads running this show.

4 out of 5 eggsNeed adapter

Pros: It's a SATA II 1.8 SSD drive. 64gb is enough for the use I make of my netbook. It should give me extra time on the battery, this drive has very low wattage even under load. Very happy to have it!

Cons: description says SATA II but fails to tell it requires adapter fo micro sata. Because of the need for that adapter, it could not fit into your 2.5" bay. Dropped an egg for problems caused by the wrong description of product (even Samsung website failed to mention it).

Other Thoughts: Buy along with StarTech Model MCSATAADAP Micro SATA to SATA Adapter Cable with Power. I was able to quickly replace a 2.5" HDD

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great but doesnt come with cables

Pros: Good for OS boot drive + a few games. Runs really quick on my machine. It's nice not to be bottlenecked by your hdd. Good quality part (Samsung is pretty reliable), quiet because no moving parts! good price for what you get.

Cons: You will probably need a secondary drive for files due to the low storage. It doesn't come with cables (spent an extra 30$ on an adapter because this drive is tiny and doesn't fit standard cables). Mounting is an issue because it is so small (zap straps ftw!)

Other Thoughts: Purolator ground delivered this to me in 4 days from Toronto to Victoria.
I wish that newegg informed me that I needed a cable adapter with this drive. I thought the standard ones would work, but I had to wait an extra 3 days for the adapter to arrive before I could complete my build.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: SSD is faster at writes than an OCZ Vertex 3. Yup. Used a pair as a ZIL mirror when one failed. Had a Vertex 3 from a retired file server, popped it in as a temporary, and it would start queuing more than the remaining Samsung.

Cons: These are OEM drives. Don't know about the extended warranty they are offering now, but when I bought em in November 2011 for about 20 bucks more, I don't think they had that. Basically, one died this week, and Samsung says they won't take OEM equipment, leaving me out one drive. I'm not buying OEM again, so now I have to purchase two retail SSDs. At this pricepoint though, I was able to find 520's for about 100 each. Which, given I can expect warranty coverage with those, is worth it, IMHO.

5 out of 5 eggsCheap Replacement Product

Pros: My hard drive on my old Samsung x360-34G (about 3 years old) was dying out. This specific laptop uses 1.8" hard drives. I figured it wouldn't hurt to try out a refurbished product for an already old laptop. Turned out to be a great decision, fits fine, works great.

Cons: Nothing for now, came in a pretty big box for such a tiny ssd. Basically, just the ssd in anti-static sleeve, but refurb so no surprise.

Other Thoughts: Great for situations where you need a 1.8", but don't feel like paying for the much more expensive V100 from Kingston.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: I picked up two of these drives refurbed. They aren't the best ssds out there but pretty good. I have the two running RAID0 and get 386MB/s seq read and 270 MB/s seq write on them.

Cons: both of mine are the older firmware drives (1801Q) which doesnt support trim. But hey, I bought these because they were cheap.
These are the same OEM RBB controller drives you would get if you ordered SSD on a Macbook or a Dell.

Other Thoughts: Cost vs performance, I think they were worth it. If it was just a single drive, non-raid, I might have went for something faster
