5 out of 5 eggsCan't go wrong

Pros: This thing has been working 24/7 for a year now and I've had no problems. Overall: it's faster than spinners in a RAID; quiet, and very reliable.

Cons: Price has jumped over the last year; other than that, no complaints here.

Other Thoughts: I'm so glad I bought this when it was affordable. This size holds ALL my software, with several large spinners in various RAID arrays for libraries, scratch for Adobe CS6, backups, media. I've never had a problem with SSD since its installation.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect size

Pros: Bought this to replace my 120Gb Corsair Force Gt and it is easily as fast, if not faster.
Installed Win7 and all of my programs/games on it with no problems what so ever. Seems to be very reliable so far, and based on the reviews that i have seen, I expect it to last me for many years to come.
Great price for the size and performance of the drive. Couldnt be happier!

Cons: Didnt come with any screws?

Other Thoughts: 500+Gb seems to be about the sweet spot for me. Just the right amount of space. I can have all of my games and programs installed without having to pick and choose.

5 out of 5 eggsUpgraded my MBP 2010

Pros: Fast, not even needed to enable TRIM, got close to an hour more out of my battery, and not as warm as having a hard drive

Cons: Nothing yet..

Other Thoughts: Thinking about buying another one to replace my DVD drive.

5 out of 5 eggsFast and Easy to use

Pros: Very Fast
Easy to setup
Lightweight and Simple to install

Cons: Maybe Price?

Other Thoughts: I consider myself an average builder. I've done it a couple of times but I'm no pro. I bought this drive to be my main OS / games drive and it was a breeze to install. Worked right the first time. If price comes down slightly this is a no brainer to get as your main HDD in a new system.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast. Silent.

Cons: Takes a couple more steps to install it than a normal HDD in a desktop (adapter bracket).

Other Thoughts: Installed on a Rampage IV Extreme board, I had to change some settings in the BIOS to set it as the main drive. If you have a RIVE it's not hard to figure out.

5 out of 5 eggsA decent SSD drive.

Pros: I am very happy with this drive. Simply put:
1. Fast Boot Time.
2. Fast Program Load.
3. Fast Partition Backup.

You get what you pay for. This drive speed was rated correctly and works without any problems.

If you have an overclocked system as I do, you should not run into any problems with this drive.

Cons: Cost a little more then it should in my book.

5 out of 5 eggsFast & Reliable

Pros: This is the first SSD that I have every used or owned. The install was fast and simple. It worked with Win 8 the first time. I am very impressed with the SSD.

Cons: Samsung is pricey. I value quality and reliability above cost. This SSD costs more than the others out there. However, it works very well. No issues.

Other Thoughts: My biggest concerns were compatibility and reliability. I have read some horror stories about SSD drives. I bought the Samsung because the brand seemed to be the most reliable on the market. I wasn't willing to take a chance with a lower cost brand.

5 out of 5 eggsLow theses Drives

Pros: Loved them from Day 1, first started with 470 series, been running strong for over year and half. Both total of 10+ 830 series, various caps over the past year.

Cons: They tend to ask a little premium, but well worth it, wait for a sale and don't hesitate to pull trigger, won't regrat it

4 out of 5 eggsWhy haven't the 512GBs go on sale?

Pros: Best SSD on the market. Period. SSD with best incompressible data rate. For a MacPro video and audio workstation these are the ones.

Cons: Price. The unspoken promise of the Samsung SSDs was going to be competitive pricing because of all in house manufacturing. I got the 830 128GB on sale for $89. I got two of the 830 256GBs on sale for $149 each. Yet the 512GBs have never gone below the $530 range. Why? Even with the 540 and 540 Pros coming out these are still very expensive. I would RAID 0 two 256s to save money but I'd rather not due to TRIM issues and other issues.

Other Thoughts: Samsung. Please give us a sale on these. Many people are waiting for a great deal on these 512GBs (WW). What are you waiting on? I can't wait much longer.

5 out of 5 eggspretty good

Pros: fast, quiet and responsive.

Cons: no cons

Other Thoughts: Not a Hug difference coming from 2 velociraptors in raid 0. Seems a little faster due to no sync time. found it to be smoother and load times a little faster. Would like to put drive up against the new velociraptor drives that are suppose to be around 200MBs. put those in raid 0 and you would have something. I am currently running a old x58 chipset with marvel controller. once i get my new mobo i should see better results out of it using the intel controller
