SAMSUNG 840 Series MZ-7TD250BW 2.5" 250GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Easy to install, just had to upgrade to new firmware and clone my regular drive and now I have my OS and any software I want to run with speed on the SSD

Cons: The first one came DOA, this isn't too common but I haven't had the best of luck with newegg.com lately. Although Newegg.com did come through and got me a working product in the end.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you have the latest firmware installed onto this drive before cloning.

Pros: Had it for a year now, runs really good. sata 3. real fast. definitely noticeable faster load times in my games. (Guild Wars 2, Battlefield 3, Payday: The heist, Hitman Absolution, Chivalry, Portal 2, Assassins Creed 3). Definitely a good buy. Good brand. I recommend you pick this up!

Cons: None!

Pros: Brings my Windows 8 Pro system to life almost instantaneously.

Fast, quiet, cool. Looks good.

Excellent price; bought for near the regular prices on SSDs of half the size.

Seems durable.

Cons: No data cable.

Other Thoughts: This is my third Samsung SSD, the other two being 830 128 GBs. The fast and stable behavior of the 830s give me confidence in this new Samsung. Feel it was money well spent.

As satisfying as the price was on this SSD, it was atypical. It seems as if the lowering of prices on SSDs in the last 6 months has ground to a halt - even refurbished ones seem no bargain. While prices remain high, the greased lightning performance of the SSD will not reach the audience it could.

Pros: Arrived 2 days after I purchased it.
Tossed it in my tower, booted windows with a usb stick that had windows 7 ultimate on it. Installed W7U in ~7 minutes, rebooted in seconds. I've since added 3 more and retired all but my newest HDD's.

I can't say I used the software that came with.

Pros: Faster than any HDD i previously used

Cons: Well, I couldnt get it to work, It was unconpatible with the AMD 970 Chipset on my asus motherboard. I couldnt install/run anything, it would lagg insanely...

Pros: I've had this drive for three months now. I just ordered a second one yesterday since it was on sale for like $160, and with free shipping it was a charm. Since i ordered in the morning, it came today even though i chose super egg saving shippping (4-7 business day)...so that just goes to show how quick newegg processes and ships their orders.

But for the drive itself, it's great for the price. You can't beat it. I also have an m4 crucial ssd 256 gb, and it performs faster as far as sequential reads. Boots much faster, and has been very reliable thus far.
The pricing is just unbeatable, especially with the sale price i bought it at NEW with a 3 year warranty. I'm happy to have 2 of these drives booting my desktop and laptop.

Other Thoughts: Just wanna point out newegg's phenomenal shipping times. They are extraordinarily fast with every purchase I have made. Even faster sometimes than prime membership shipping at another site, you all may know of, at no extra costs.

Pros: If you want something fast, and big enough to store enough data with a peace of mind of crashing/losing it, this is what you're looking for.

Cons: -well product doesn't come with any bunkers or cables but you can always figure that out on your own.

Pros: Coming from 7200rpm hard drive and I have to say that SSD are amazing and I will never have a PC without one again. Got this on a promo code. Paid about 50 cents per GB so I couldn't say no.

Cons: Watch the connectors when installing. They feel flimsy and I did manage to chip the corner of the plastic on one.

Other Thoughts: If you haven't got an SSD yet buy one. It is worth it, trust me.

Pros: I do love this SSD window 8 starts up in less than 8 Sec. Apps load very fast.

Cons: Not the faster SSD out there Like my Ocz vector. But for the price it's good for what you get. Worth Buying.
