brucie 6/18/2013 6:32:56 AM Tech Level: 4/5 Ownership: 2/5	Rating: 5/5Fast, Fast, Fast Pros: Extremely fast. Vostro 131, I3 prior to clone took 57 seconds from press of button to login. After SSD installed the same operation took a little over ten seconds. Wake up from hibernate takes a little longer at around 15 seconds. I switched power lid shutdown from sleep to hibernate to save battery life when not in use. Battery life has gone up significantly, but not as earth shattering as the speed improvement. All in all, the most cost effective/ performance improving upgrade I have ever made. Cons: Cloning software failed on first attempt. The clone finished but the verify immediately failed. Drive would not boot, but all data appeared present. Turned everything off in start-up in MSCONFIG and re-ran clone with success the second time. It took about 2 hours to clone the old drive times 2. No problems. Cons: I had planed on using the source drive but after cloning I cannot get it to re-initialize. Diskpart says its a good drive but won't assign it a drive letter. Other Thoughts: Called their help line but they didn't have anyone who understood what I was asking. They continued to say over and over that their software didn't destroy my drive. Cons: Played hell getting the frimware updated. Update doesn't work with AMD sata controller driver. If you uninstall AMD driver and let windows load the Microsoft sata driver it will update the FW. Other Thoughts: So fast it gave me some troubles with the Intel Chipset Driver, which requires for the system to restart before installing... Thing was, when it did restart, Windows booted so fast the driver was ready to go on when the USB drive it was on wasn't even registered by the system yet... Error message... Had to create a tiny partition on the SSD just to put the driver there following the same exact path it had on the USB drive, remove the USB drive, change the partition letter for the one the drive had beforehand, and finally reboot the system. To be honest, I'm installing Windows so often on new systems, the little glitch was more fun than anything else, changed the routine a bit... Did you find this review helpful? Boots to Win 7 Pro in <20sec. 7.8 on that silly "experience index" for what its worth. Noticeably faster than my INTEL 330 series. Cons: Doesn't come with a drive bay adapter. :( I bought one from Thermaltake for like $8 that was awesome, but still...if I'm paying more than a bill for a SSD, it should definitely come with an adapter IMO. Granted, I did pay for Rush Processing and Overnight shipping, but their service was quick and diligent. I got a tracking number the next morning(I ordered my SSD around 10:00pm or so) and I'm not at my house at this moment, but tracking info has it "out for delivery". Someone reported a problem with rush processing and their product wasn't on their door step the next day, I cannot relate.
