It werks!
- Pros: Matched set and lifetime warranty. I had purchased this memory kit over a year ago and recently had a bad IC on one of them. Crucial issued an RMA, with no issues. I took the opportunity to buy another 2 GB. Crucial got me the replacement matched set in 5 days. Great price.
- Cons: None really, My AMD runs hese a little hot, but heat spreaders work fine....
- Other Thoughts: Good solid memory. great customer service... buy these now and stop looking....
Overclocking Champ
- Pros: Heat Spreaders, Very low latency, Timing is excellent, Did i mention it overclocks like a champ. I have mine at 250mhz each now and it doesnt drop a beat
- Cons: Heatspreaders are a little wide
- Other Thoughts: Just bought a next 512 pair to add to my system today, cant wait to put it into my system. 2.6 AMD X2, 1gb (soon to be 2gb) Crucial Ballistix Ram, 1.1Tb Hdd, Radeon X800Xl, Audigy X Gamer.
Fast
- Pros: Fast!! The low timing really help , some of the fastest ddr chips around. Still works after a year
- Cons: They run hot , so make sure you have good air flow. They get errors after a bunch hours in a stress test.......this might have something to do with heat. If you rig some kind of fan right above them i think this problem will disappear though. This is the only reason it doesnt have a five star rating from me
- Other Thoughts: Good for gaming , but for the latest games i would try for 2 gigs
