Designed for performance enthusiasts and gamers who want to add flash and dazzle to their systems. The black PCB and silver and black heat spreader of Crucial's Ballistix Tracer modules add a stylish touch to your system. But what sets these modules apart is the LED functionality. A custom-designed circuit relays bus activity to the LEDs, allowing them to accurately reflect usage of each memory module.

This 2GB kit (1GBx2) is designed to take advantage of dual channel mode for increased performance. The PC2-6400 memory can transfer a whopping 6.4GB/s of data ensuring that the memory subsystem isn't the bottleneck that slows down the action.

Pros: This ram has not given me one problem. OC'd and still rock solid.

Cons: Are you kidding me.

Other Thoughts: I have 4GB of this ram on a Gigabyte M57SLI-S4 MB. I am running a AMD 5600 X2 and I can not belive the speed of this thing.

Great Performance

Pros: This RAM is excellent, it has two EPP profiles one is the 4-4-4-12 at 800mhz or 5-5-5-15 at 1000mhz. Runs cooler than my last set of DDR500 from crucial. Overclocks very well. Gets a 5.9 in vista at any speed.

Cons: They dont make 2gb sticks of this stuff.

Other Thoughts: Its freakin cheap, get some.

Missing The 2nd Roll Of Leds!

Pros: Good Memory, fast and works right out of the box. Compatible with the Asus Crosshair Motherboard and the AMD 6400+ Cpu.

Cons: They went cheap on this set and left out 8 leds on each stick. No more 16 leds per stick only 8 in one line and that took away the bling of the rotating effect of the lights. Why? I have a set of this same memory from 8 months ago and they have the 2 rows of leds on each stick.

Other Thoughts: Crucial just cutting costs I guess due to our high gas prices. LOL!

Disappointed

Pros: The flashing lights let you know it's working. Got my rebate in less than 2 months.

Cons: I have always bought Crucial memory. So this set has deeply disappointed me. It was running fine up until a week or so ago (so ran fine for 3 1/2 months). I started getting BSODs, frequently. I was able to determine that the memory was getting too hot because the BSODs didn't occur until my system had been on a while. I had to end up downclocking these to 5-5-5-18 at 1.95v running at 750MHz, just to get a relatively stable system. But even at these settings, I get the occasionally BSOD. My system has more than enough airflow (it's an Antec 900 case).

Other Thoughts: My system specs: AMD X2 5000+ Black Edition (was overclocked to 3Ghz, now have to run at 2.6GHz because of the memory), Biostar TA770 A2+, HD3850, Antec 900, 2 x Seagate 250GB harddrives, 2 x DVD RW drives.
I have ordered and received some new G Skill 4GB PC6400 memory to now use. Debating whether to bother with RMA to Crucial.

Worked briefly, now useless

Pros: Worked for about 6 weeks without incident.

Cons: Started generating errors for no apparent reason. memtest86+ now reports dozens of errors on both modules. Now useless.

Other Thoughts: Used in GIGABYTE GA-MA78GM-S2H with Athlon X2 5000 Black Edition CPU. Default motherboard settings decided to overclock memory to DDR2 864, fiddling required to get it in spec.
