Hesitant But It WORKED!!!!

Pros: I was hesistant at first on purchasing this RAM for a customer request for RAM upgrade, the laptop in question is an Acer Aspire 3620. I often purchase GSkill and also when it's on sale, however, the GSkill was out on stock and I need to get this done, so I gambled with Crucial which was on sale and now, I am happy to report that the laptop recognized all 2GB of the RAM and it is stable.

Cons: Not free ;)

Other Thoughts: It's worth mentioning that the laptop's RAM rating is PC24200 RAM, this RAM, just like the GSkills I prefer to use downgraded itself. Good to know now that I have a backup to RAM I can go to.

Pros: Crucial is good quality, performed flawlessly after some installation quirks.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Possibly a Dell quirk, laptop would not read these chips when first installed. I had to leave the factory 512mb chip in and add one of these in bank 2. Rebooted and read 1.5gb. Removed factory 512mb and replaced with 2nd Crucial 1gb chip. Rebooted and read 2gb. I did not subtract an egg here because it might just be Dell. Also note these were put in a Dell Inspiron 1501 which is limited to dd2 533, but these are ddr2 667.
