2 out of 5 eggsnot worth it

Pros: I have 4 of them and after 3years only 2 still work... kinda

Cons: I have a P7N Diamond board from MSI and I, for the life of me, could never get these to run at a full 1066. If memory serves, before my last two sticks killed over, I was maybe running each stick at 400... Either way, these sticks are horrid!

1 out of 5 eggsDon't Buy

Pros: Bought 2 DIMMs. The worked well for a few months.

Cons: After that, both DIMMS died. Memory tests fail on both sticks after a few minutes of uptime.

Other Thoughts: Buy something else.

1 out of 5 eggsDONT BUY

Pros: NONE

Cons: Dies within months.

Other Thoughts: I purchased 4 sticks of this ram about 7 month ago. Today my system crashed and after hours of diagnostics, the RAM is the culprit. DO NOT BUY this product, my experiences are just like the others. Two dead sticks and I don't want to contact Micron for RMA; it's not worth my time.

1 out of 5 eggsDied pretty quick - avoid Ballistix

Pros: Yellow is a nice color

Cons: Died quickly after never running at spec. Have had multiple probs with Ballistic and Tracer 8500 sticks

Other Thoughts: Avoid like the plague!

1 out of 5 eggsFAILED ONE MONTH LATER

Pros: Worked for at least a month, if you want to call that a "pro".

Cons: Memory worked fine over the first month or so. When I built the system (Asus P5K-VM motherboard), I ran memtest86+ on it without any errors. A month later, the system would routinely bluescreen or not boot. I ran memtest86+ again, and this time I got multiple errors from both modules. Will definitely buy another brand of memory next time.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy this RAM!

Pros: Newegg stood behind the product and refunded my money completely, no questions asked. Obviously the reveiws spoke volumes about how bad this ram was, so they had no choice really.

Cons: This ram failed withing days of being installed into a brand new system and caused the entire system to keep having the blue screen of death. The man that built this system for me is so upset about this whole ordeal that he may never again build a system for anyone (his words). I had to replace the motherboard and then take to another professional tech that determined that 3 of the 4 memories were bad. Once RAM was replaced and reformatted, all seems to be none the worse for the wear. What a nightmare! I hope we are beyond all this, finally!

Other Thoughts: Always check with your motherboard manufacturer to make sure what ram they recommend and have tested.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY!

Pros: Worked fine the first month

Cons: Died after a month

Other Thoughts: I bought this RAM as part of a new computer build. Passed memtest 86+ and worked fine for about a month. Then random errors, corrupted files, and finally the computer wouldn't boot. After a full day of troubleshooting (never considered bad RAM) I requested an RMA and returned this for a replacement. The replacement module tested perfectly again, but now one month later it has started having errors and corrupted my system too! I'm switching to something else. Do not buy this RAM, you'll regret it.

1 out of 5 eggsThis memory is bad news

Pros: 1066 memory at this price is a good deal if it works. Crucial has always been a good company with good customer support.

Cons: If you are thinking about buying this memory listen to what everyone is saying and don't. The memory seemed to work well at first but after a few months it began to show problems such as no video coming up after a restart. If I did a cold shutdown and waited about a minute and then started up it seemed to work again. Finally both sticks totally failed and the machine won't post at all. I was using the memory on a Gigabyte 965p-DQ6 motherboard with an Intel E6600 processor. I also tried the memory on a Gigabyte 965P-DS3 and it won't post on that machine either. I tried the memory one stick at a time and both modules are defective. I just sent in my request for an RMA.

Other Thoughts: I have a second set of the same memory and it has been working fine for about a year with a small amount of over clocking. I ran memtest86 on it just to make sure and it was perfect.

1 out of 5 eggsbad, bad, bad

Pros: Cheap 1066. Nice looking covers/ heat spreaders.

Cons: This stuff is awful. I've had 4 sticks so far, not one has passed memtest properly. Latest sticks worked fine for 1.5 months then crapped out on me all at once.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy this, seriously the 20$ isn't worth the pain and downtime.
