awesome except...
- Pros: extremely fast
- Cons: if your running windows vista you have to either get two of these( because windows vista is a hog for virtual memory) or get this and get some cheap ddr2 ram and install it in the second channel to take some of the brute memory space.
- Other Thoughts: i should of jsut went full out and got the drr3 1800 ram, while twice as much, in the end i will of ended up spending the same amount on two of these. but no complaints really, they look cool, and the first time you take them out of the box( or package) they feel ice cool to your hands.
X38 X48 - XMP profiles
- Pros: I installed the ram on a X38 intel board all auto detected with twi profiles, I selected profile 1(factory settings) or 2 (slightly faster timmings with more voltage) they ran both profiles without incident, they just ran great.
- Cons: limited to the extreme MBs wX38, X48 supporting XMP profiles.
- Other Thoughts: I was somewhat skepitcal about buying more ram chips for a x38 motherboard other overclocking profiles on MBs simply did not boot, these are 1600 chip on 1333 bus for the x38, the X48 supports the 1600 bus speeds.
I'm very pleased.
