4 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM for a great price!

Pros: Bought 4gb for my Minecraft server machine and it works perfectly. Crucial has always been my number one choice when it comes down to memory needs. Lifetime warranty and at $12.99/1GB stick (time of purchase), you can't beat that price!

Cons: The only reason I gave this RAM a 4/5 is due to the fact that it is slightly slower than some other memory. The CAS latency is 6, however when I load Speccy, it reads 5-5-5-12. Other than that the memory works great!

5 out of 5 eggsJust What The Doctor Ordered

Pros: Handles graphics much better. I never knew my photos could load so easily, and my photos are large for obvious reasons so adding more memory made a big difference. Now I can scan through them and watch my movies with ease.

This was an inexpensive upgrade on rescued movie kiosk I was using to show photos and clips 27/4. The XP OS was trashed and someone suggested that I install a couple of these and have some guy give me a fresh install of Ubuntu, and I'm so glad I did! It runs great and I was surprised at how inexpensive it was to add life to an aging system, and I'm all for that!

Delivery was super fast. I'm lucky to live in the west coast (at the moment) where the warehouse is 1 day from me with any UPS 3 day shipping method. Ordered it in the morning and had it the next afternoon. I simply can't beat a deal like that where I live.

Brand Name - Crucial memory was suggested because the company has been around for a while and they make fabulous products.

Cons: None that I would know of.

Other Thoughts: Don't toss those old computers away. Get some decent memory while it's cheap and build a Linux computer. Build one even if you know nothing about Linux because it's really easy to operate, and the best part is you will learn new tricks and things you've never dreamed of. I know I have. And don't be afraid. It's way better now than it once was. No need to be as afraid of conflicts and driver issues as before, and the open source office suite is a great bonus I created a document intended for work and after saving it as a DOC file it worked perfectly at the office.

I am sorry if my review went too far beyond the scope of a simple memory chip but I hope you can see how adding a stick or two can shorten many tasks that would normally take forever, and believe me when I say this is one time when shorter really is better. Would I tell a lie?
