Crucial 240-pin DIMMs are used in DDR3 memory for desktop computers. DDR3 is the latest generation of memory with an improved architecture that allows it to transmit data more quickly.

A dual inline memory module (DIMM) consists of a number of memory components (usually black) that are attached to a printed circuit board (usually green). The gold pins on the bottom of the DIMM provide a connection between the module and a socket on a larger printed circuit board. The pins on the front and back of a DIMM are not connected to each other.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks As It Should!!

Pros: Great Ram! Got 4 Gig's Of It. Used It For A Budget Rig. I Run It Along Side AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor 3.0GHz, And HIS H467QR1GH Radeon HD 4670 1GB. With AMD 760G Chipset. Runs Great! Buy It!

Cons: None That I Can Think Of.....

Other Thoughts: Great For Basic Use And Good For Budget Gaming Rigs. If You Looking For High Performance PC And Moneys Not An Issue, Go With Crucial Ballistix! Crucials A Great Brand And They Have Great Quality Control. I Have Yet To Recieve Faulty Memory From Crucial In The 8 Years Ive Been Building Rigs. (Iv'e Built Plenty!!)

4 out of 5 eggsMy memory benchmark is a bit slow

Pros: It works. Crucial seems like a name-brand.

Cons: My memory benchmarks are a little low for my motherboard and CPU.

Other Thoughts: Not sure if this RAM is responsible for making my memory benchmark low. But it works, so not worth replacing 2GB of it.

5 out of 5 eggsCrucial DDR3 1GB Works fine.

Pros: Like the other (identical) stick I bought from another vendor, this memory worked fine.

Cons: I happened to be low on money or I'd have bought 2 GB sticks and gotten a better per GB price.

3 out of 5 eggsRAM is OK

Pros: The price

Cons: Doesn't even do 1333 out of the box. When I installed 2 of these they were showing as running at 1064 speed. So, I have to set the timings myself and "overclock" the ram just to get it to work right. Do not buy if you know nothing of computers or you will be wondering why your computer is running it at the wrong speed.

Other Thoughts: The price is right on the ram and it does work. It even overclocks nicely and seems stable enough.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Ram

Pros: Works great got 4 of these for my build! All work with no problems.
Win 7 gave my ram a 7.5 rating out of 7.9

Cons: None!!

Other Thoughts: The guy talking about heat spreaders and that win 7 would not play games. Well if you have Win 7 then you need at least 3 Gbs of ram to play most games that require 1.5 Gbs of ram or more because win 7 uses .5 Gbs. Plus if you have a graphics card that uses ram 2Gbs is not enough ram not the rams falt that you did not have enough.

1 out of 5 eggsBEWARE

Pros: None

Cons: New Revision. No longer works on MBs that this part# worked on before

Other Thoughts: We've been purchasing this part for a product we sell for a year or so. 100s of them. Never had a problem. Our recent order is a new revision with different chips and the memory no longer works in either MB we've used it in. Same part number. So beware of buying these in bulk.
