5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Info: Ordered for Toshiba Satellite L255d-S7901 (PSLE8Ux), Vista Home Premium 32-bit, Turion 64 X2

Pros: Working Great so far, No Troubles Encountered, System Profiler Reflects Full 8.0 GBs

Cons: Cons: 32-bit OS Task Manager Reflects 3.5 GBs.

Other Thoughts: Other Thoughts: Crucial Has Been Compatible With Most Older and Standard MoBo/MLB Chipsets.

CPU Thoughts: I've Ordered CPU Upgrades, Getting the Turion II Ultra (M640) 2.6 GHz 1800(?) MHz Hyper Transport & Turion X2 Ultra (ZM-87) 2.6 GHz 2200 MHz Hyper Transport, The Turion 64 X2 (RM-77) 2.3 GHz 2000 MHz Hyper Transport Works Fine.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent pgrade.

Pros: Slick RAM upgrade. No problems with installation and startup.

Cons: DDR2 is still pretty expensive compared to DDR3.

Other Thoughts: I upgraded my three-year-old Windows 7 system from the OEM 4GB DDR2 667 to 8GB DDR2 800. I get much improved streaming video performance. The new RAM runs at 800.

5 out of 5 eggsbeen used in college

Pros: It poped right in my college laptop, major increase in speed, even on a cheap single core laptop, running a 128GB SSD. I got 8gb of ram to max out the laptop plus help reduce wear and tear on my solid state hard drive.

System Specs
Intel Core 2 Solo 2.0Ghz
8GB Crucial DDR2-800mhz Ram
128GB Crucial SSD
Windows 7 Home Premium

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I love crucial, i have purchased 3 sets of ram and 4 SSD hdds and never had a issue with any of them. Great products, awesome company.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected

Pros: Maxes out my Latitude e6400 from Dell. Popped it in and it fired right up. No complaints.

Cons: None to speak of

Other Thoughts: If you are using virtualization on your notebook you need lots of memory. I have Windows 8 loaded on the host and a large windows 7 VM I use for work. This memory allows me to separate my environments from one another and increases my productivity

4 out of 5 eggsEdumacation

Pros: Newegg has it $10 cheaper than from the manufacturer, always a plus.

Cons: The price is high no matter where you get it, face it, anything over $100 for two sticks of memory is outrageous.

Other Thoughts: Make sure your notebook maker recommends Crucial before installing, apparently some Toshiba owners aren't doing their homework. It works nicely with HP 8530p Elitebooks.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory!!!

Pros: Well packaged, obvioulsy high quality memory.

Cons: Could have paid less for other quality memory, but I'm not complaining.

Other Thoughts: Dell E6500 booted up immediately and with no recognition problems. Went right to work on my computer. I highly recommond this product; however, I would also shop around. Bought new 8GB Hynix on elsewhere (including shipping) for $90.00 versus $146.00 for Crucial. It will be interesting to compare the two when I install it on my E6400.

1 out of 5 eggsToshiba Owners: Avoid!!!

Pros: Paired Kit...

Cons: Price of DDR2 vs DDR3...

Other Thoughts: Continuous restarts with Toshiba Satellite laptop (A355D-S6930). The laptop supports DDR2 up to 8gigs… It comes with 4gigs (2gig x2) from Samsung (16 chips per side). I have installed the latest bios (v1.80) and even tried pairing this ram with one of the old sticks for 6gigs. I just keep getting the restart menu. Curiously, each sodim operates fine in either slot so long as the total ram does not exceed 4gigs. To help you other buyers out there with an AMD based laptop (780G chipset), I would avoid these kits off of Newegg’s website: N82E16820226071, N82E16820148232, N82E16820220382. Perhaps that will help the next customer because I know it would have helped me!

Pros: Works like it should!

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Bought this as an upgrade for my dell 1545, simple to install and booted up with no problems what so ever. Computer picked it up as dual channel and did its thing.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, but overpriced here

Pros: Great memory, as Crucial is a highly trusted brand, and with a CAS Latency of 6 (while most are higher), it's faster than most.

Cons: Overpriced here. If you buy directly from Crucial it's roughly $20 (USD) cheaper than it is here. Even after the shipping/handling charge it's still cheaper than it is here BEFORE the Newegg.com shipping/handling charge is added.

Other Thoughts: Get the memory... just don't get it here. Nothing against Newegg.com as I've bought many things from them in the past. This is the on exception.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a charm

Pros: Works great in Dell XPS laptop once the BIOS was updated to current.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Only one stick was recognized until I applied the latest bios updates from Dell.
