2 out of 5 eggsBudget memory

Pros: Is it a moderately priced memory.

Cons: They died after very little use. They where installed in a computer that was used very infrequently, and died after about 2-3 of lifespan (may be 100 days of use, at most).

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: The memory does exactly as it is supposed to.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought one of these two years ago for use with Photoshop and similar design programs. Though now that I'm using Autodesk 3DS Max I'm about to buy another.

5 out of 5 eggsFastest DDR2 Available

Pros: Got it on sale, plus 15% off, which made it only a few dollars more than typical DDR2 800.

Installed on a Biostar N68S AM2+/AM3 motherboard with a Sempron 145 CPU. Popped them in and they took off running, fast. Minimum voltage on this MB is 19.5v for memory. Didn't seem to hurt anything.

Ran Prime95 for about 15 minutes, no errors. Overclocked bus to 215 and ran Prime95 again for 15 more minutes, still no errors and was not expecting any anyway. This is Crucial memory, not junk.

Cons: None. Buy some while you still can!

Other Thoughts: Although AMD specs say otherwise, the DDR2 memory controller on an AM3 processor will support DDR2 1066 memory as the max, granted you have a motherboard that cooperates. I just proved it today.

I wish I had known this in the past. All the fun I missed out on...

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap, but for my parents needs one package was enough. I built them a PC with this as well as a GIGABYTE GA-MA770-UD3 , AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200 Brisbane, and a EVGA 01G-P3-N958-LR GeForce 9500 GT. I ordered all of the components here at newegg as well as a cheap case. I had the dvd drive and HDD sitting around.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I love Crucial, have it in my personal PC as well as suggesting it to customers.

5 out of 5 eggsDDR 1066 Dual channel info

Pros: Crucial is one of the most reputable brands when it comes to rock solid stability. I'd recommend them to anyone who doesn't intend to overclock.

Cons: At this price a 4x1GB configuration is enticing enough to lure the uninformed into an incompadible configuration.

Other Thoughts: Socket AM2+ is limited to 1 DDR2 1066 DIMM per channel when in dual channel mode (DDR2 800 is ok). This means one would be unable to run 4x1GB (or 2x1 + 2x1)configuration at 1066 speed. This may not be a limitation of all socket AM2+ configurations (My knowledge isn't extensive enough to make such a claim). 2x2GB wont exibit this limitation though.

I would recomend testing with only 1 DIMM per channel to determin that all individual DIMMs are working correctly if such an problem occurs.

1 out of 5 eggsjunk

Pros: cheap

Cons: to cheap bought 4 sticks to run on my new gigabyte ma790x-ud4 with phenom 9600 and the sticks haven't run right yet not even manually setting the clocks will make this ram run right. I have run nothing but crucial for several years but after this experiance im seriously considering switching to kingston
