3 out of 5 eggsRan for about a year!!

Pros: Ran at their settings properly. LED's where very nice and bright.

Cons: Very hot as some people have said. 1st one died after about a year. Second died after about 2 years. The first one just stopped out of no where, the second one stopped and Windows told me it was corrupted(????)...

Other Thoughts: Was very fast while they worked. Should see if I can get them RMA'd or replaced. Don't have my original packaging anymore though :(

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

YES! Please contact us at 1-800-336-8896 or online at www.crucial.com/help. We offer a limited lifetime warranty on our DRAM products. We don't carry this specific model anymore but you should be offered replacments that you'll be happy with (ask for Ballistix Tactical Tracer ;-) )

Regards,
Crucial

5 out of 5 eggsTHEY FLASH, PRETTY

Pros: Pretty Blue LED's on them, Seems to be stable at standard clocks. Looks great in my NZXT Guardian 921 BL case

Cons: so far, nothing. Nice to see smething going on in there. IDK, doesn't make room for me to see how pretty cool it is?

Other Thoughts: the only real con isn't with the RAM itself, but the motherboard I put the RAM in. Researched this RAM on Crucials website, said it was compatible with my Asus M4A87TD EVO board, however upon futher looking once installed, this motherboard only reads it at DDR1300, and becomes very unstable if changed to read at DDR1600 speed. Also, even further review I found no overclo clocking with this motherboard will be stable with such high speed RAM, My error, not NewEgg, everything works as it should.

1 out of 5 eggsFURIOUS

Pros: Newegg markets these as the BL25664TB1608. All Crucial Ram in the tracer series have prefixes to them such as .16ff .k16sf and so on. If you order this you will get the BL25664TB1608.16FF which is not on any of the approved QVL for any ASUS board. I bought the MA88T-V EVO and it does take the BL25664TB1608 however it must be the .K16SF version which is not this product. This is the BL25664TB1608.16FF . I hope Crucial never sells another stick of this because what they are doing is wrong. Common sense would tell you that if a product ends in a prefix then that means there are different models which translates into them sliding us some low rent junk here and there and hiding that fact under the listings not including the ending prefix. I ordered it and it is NOT I REPEAT NOT the .16FF version that I needed and is the only one on the QVL for ASUS

Cons: I also blame ASUS for being this finicky on a low rent mid class board the M4A88T-V EVO

Other Thoughts: Go download the Qualified Vendors List from ASUS and notice that the BL25664TB1608.16FF is not compatible. I had no idea that they had this kind of scandelous type of stuff going on here at Newegg of all places. Crucial is probably smiling away letting Newegg use the revolver of junk to sell any model of this thats convinient. WELL IT COST ME TIME AND MONEY WASTED MY TIME AND MY CUSTOMERS TIME DUE TO YOU HIDING THE PREFIXES FROM ME AND OTHERS HERE ITS VERY SLICK I WILL GIVE YOU THAT DUDE IM FURIOUS AND ITS GETTING EVEN WORSE.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat ram

Pros: Booted up fine
Looks great in the case
Built solid
Recommended timings work great

Cons: none so far :)

Other Thoughts: The LEDs really arent "blinding" as some have said...though they are noticeable...if they offered a feature to turn them on and off it'd be great for some people i think

they add a lot to the case and attract a lot of attention, and thats always a good thing :)
