Pros: Works like its suppose to, fit in just fine and my system had no problem working with them.

Cons: the only thing i didnt really care for was how basic these are. no casing no heat fins but my system runs cool any way so i was not to worried.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Cheap RAM

Pros: It's Crucial so its usually solid. These are no exception. Work exactly as they should. I got these on sale before Christmas and they were the best value RAM out there for the system I was working with. Would have loved to have gotten faster RAM but was meeting a price point and at this price point they are as good as anything for less money.

Cons: There are no Cons. Again would love them to be faster but I bought them knowing what speed they were and not knowing if the system board they were going into would handle the higher speed anyway.

2 out of 5 eggsSwing and a miss -

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Started overheating after three months, now causing page faults and BSODs.

Other Thoughts: Disappointing product from Crucial. I normally buy Mushkin memory but decided to take a chance on Crucial. Now I will have a dead computer for the time it takes to call Crucial, get an RMA, find some antistatic bags, mail it, and have them mail back the replacement.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

If you require an RMA, we do offer cross ship as an option (credit card required). Please call us at 1-800-336-8896 option #2 or online at www.crucial.com/help and we will assit you

Regards,
Crucial

5 out of 5 eggsIt's...memory

Pros: Does exactly what it's supposed to do - nothing more or less. It's memory. You put it in your motherboard. It works.

Cons: Doesn't bring you a cup of warm milk and read you a story at bedtime.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine

Pros: Works as it should. Good price.

Cons: None to speak of. It works fine.

Other Thoughts: I wish this were offered in 16GB sticks so I could pack 32GB on my board. The board claims to support it, but 16GB DDR3 sticks are nowhere to be found.

3 out of 5 eggsDOA :(

Pros: On paper these look good, and Crucial has a good reputation.

Cons: Dead on arrival. Putting one of these sticks in prevents my PC from booting, whether it is by itself or with one of my previously-installed 2GB sticks. Possibly an unusual hardware compatibility issue, but there is no warning about this on the store page or manufacturer's website (timing and interface are correct, though).

Physically the DIMM boards are nondescript and feel a little flimsy - I wonder if maybe temperature changes during the delivery period could have cracked or damaged something.

Documentation with the product is literally nonexistent except for a link to crucial's website. Not unacceptable but it would have been nice to have a datasheet or something.

Other Thoughts: Waiting to hear from tech support before I give up on these...giving it 3 eggs for now. If this doesn't get resolved, -2 eggs; if it does, +2.
