Crucial 240-pin DIMMs are used in DDR3 memory for desktop computers. DDR3 is the latest generation of memory with an improved architecture that allows it to transmit data more quickly.

A dual inline memory module (DIMM) consists of a number of memory components (usually black) that are attached to a printed circuit board (usually green). The gold pins on the bottom of the DIMM provide a connection between the module and a socket on a larger printed circuit board. The pins on the front and back of a DIMM are not connected to each other.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks with ASUS E35M1-M, AMD E-350

Pros: while this model is not listed on the Asus E35M1-M qualified vendors list (QVL), Crucial's web site said it works fine and you know what, it does.

Cons: So far has refused to vacuum the case of dust. I want a housecleaning ram chip that takes care of such tasks.

Other Thoughts: I think this single 4 gb stick is better than 2 x 2gb because dual channel is not such a big deal and this stick is only 1.35v, saving a bit of energy and heat. Windows XP will only recognize 2.6gb of course so be warned. I still won't downgrade to Windows 7 because I would have to throw away about a thousand dollars worth of hardware. Win XP, now and 4ever! Or maybe some day I will switch to Linux Mint if it ever supports the Fusion APU.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory

Pros: The memory has worked for me for a little over a year now with no hickups whatsoever.

Cons: The green PCB is a little off putting but if you don't mind the dark green color then this is the memory for you.

5 out of 5 eggsAs usual, no problems

Pros: Since the late 90s I have always bought Crucial memory, despite the fact that until recently it has usually been more expensive. There were no problems with this batch -- not that I expected any.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsWill buy again

Pros: 2 Dimms for 8 GB passed 48 hours memtest no errors and 48 hours prime95. No system crashes no hangs used with GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-S2P and AMD FX 4100.

Cons: My bosses don't buy crucial memory because its too 'expensive' they buy cheap stuff no one has ever heard of for 3 dollars less per dimm.

Other Thoughts: Crucial has an excellent website that helps pair boards with memory

5 out of 5 eggsGreat memory, cheap and better than the expensive others!

Pros: Cheap, works well, no errors, no BSOD's. Plain and simple reliability from Crucial as always.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Had ordered PNY Optima 8GB that kept acting very strange with the system. Random application crashes and blue screens. Ordered 4GB stick of this Crucial and the system has been much better! Will be ordering another stick to make it 8GB.
