5 out of 5 eggsCrucial sets the standard

Pros: 1. Well constructed modules (then again most are) and the heat spreaders are applied well. They are actually two separate plates per module instead of wrapping around the top of the memory board.

2. MSI's UEFI bios correctly identified the memory and setup the right parameters and voltages without any need for user input.

3. Wow... pretty.

Cons: None at all.

Other Thoughts: At the time of purchase these modules actually cost less than more generic and lesser known memory products. It is important to remember only a handful of companies actually make their own memory chips and choice comes down to the quality of construction, speed, timing, and additions such as heat spreaders. These are a good value.

5 out of 5 eggsSasuga, Crucial

Pros: Using this in my Server, which runs a minecraft server, KSP Server, Mumble Server, Plex Server, and a SAMBA file server. Works as expected, stable and good performance. Sasuga, Crucial.

Cons: Be careful with the heat spreaders. They feel like they might detatch from the modules if you squeeze the top too tightly.

Other Thoughts: Intel Ivy Bridge Celeron 2.6Ghz
ASRock B75M mATX mobo

1 out of 5 eggsRAM Fail

Pros: Descent price for what you get

Cons: Put this in to a new Shuttle 4th Gen Intel build using Windows 8. RAM worked for great for a week - quick booting and multitasking etc. After a week, the RAM just stopped working. The machine started blue screening and would get stuck in a reboot loop that never ended (Windows appeared to be collecting error information then it would reboot - over and over). Can't rate it very high since it quit working on me!

Pros: Works Great on Compaq Presario CQ5302F When Using Celeron 450 800 MHz FSB

Cons: Becomes Non Detectable on Compaq Presario CQ5302F When Using Core 2 Duo/Quad Core E8500/Q9650.

Other Thoughts: Still Will Get Another Set and Keep This For Use in My Customized System Projects.

1 out of 5 eggsNot Happy

Pros: Ok when it was working

Cons: 1 stick dead at the 1 year mark.

Other Thoughts: Should have stayed with Corsair ... never had a problem with them in over 15 years of building more systems than I care to remember.

Sure, bad things happen with any brand, but that does not make me anymore less annoyed. Now I get to spend more money and play the RMA game ... lucky me.

Manufacturer Response:

We're sorry for the inconvenience, if we can assist with an RMA, please contact us at 1-800-336-8896 or online at www.crucial.com/help

5 out of 5 eggsGreat memory!

Pros: I paired this kit with a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 board and AMD Phenom II X4 955 and the XMP configured the memory timings to 7-7-7. Windows 7 has been fast and stable, just the way I like it.

Cons: None.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Ordered 2 packages to fill 16 gigs on motherboard. One set fine and ran nice.

Cons: Second package failed with one bad stick. Poor inspection process for Crucial who I use in all my products since 1990's. Even worse customer support from retailer purchased from. Not what I'd expect from crucial who claims so much testing goes into their products before sending out. May not purchase again. Especially from their retailer here. 50% failure rate unacceptable.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsBLT2KIT4G3D1337DT1TX is Excellent!

Pros: Both sticks worked perfectly. Each stick booted the computer without any errors. Timings work as specified (had to set them in the BIOS). My processor will only handle up to DDR3 1333 (10600) and even with gaming I have never gone passed 4 Gigs of used RAM even with internet pages open in the background so I didn't see the need for a dual channel 16GB kit when I was on a budget. Great price for great quality, lowest latency dual channel 10600 RAM!

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: CL 7 @ 1333mhz , Fit my mini-itx case, barely

Cons: motherboard running it at CL8@1066Mhz and I can't change with my eMachines OEM mainboard.. so if you have oem motherboard that doesn't allow for setting timings .. don't bother with this ram since you can get faster ram (mhz) cheaper than this and will end up being faster in the end.

Other Thoughts: Got because the RAM I pulled out ran CL7@1066 .. So I figured my mainboard would default this to atleast that but atleast it was close I guess. But works good .. Running windows 7 .. and a virtual box with Ubuntu 12.04 LTE and still have free ram.. so all's good in the quantity .. if only I could get the speed I want..
