2 out of 5 eggsRAM is 1333

Pros: Was stable at 1333.

Cons: Increasing to 1600 or higher caused this RAM to fail at random times.

Other Thoughts: Build is with an A10-5800k on an ASRock FM2A75 Pro4-M board.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat 1.5V DDR3-1600

Pros: - 1.5V memory. This is important - you should be running 1.5V, not 1.65V memory for Sandy and Ivy Bridge processors. Lots of "on sale" DDR3-1600 memory actually runs on XMP profiles at 1.65V, which is not technically within spec for Intel's i3/i5/i7 Sandy and Ivy processors.

- DDR3-1600. This is a good balance between price and performance now.

- Stable. Never had a problem with this memory

Cons: - Sharp/thin metal heatsink is painful to push down into the socket.

- Yellow color makes it hard to color match with other components, which tend to be red, black, or blue.

- Currently, you can buy 1.5V DDR3-1866 memory on sale for the same price (but of a different name brand)

Other Thoughts: I should have bought two sets when they were still on sale!

Honestly I think they are worth it though, even if they are not on sale. The last thing you want to do is delay your computer build because of defective RAM.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Memory

Pros: I've had issues with Corsair, OCZ, Patriot, and PNY in the past. Crucial, however, has never let me down. Installed the memory and the system fired up. Seems very stable and hasn't crashed on me.

Cons: Memory was clocked at 1333 on first boot. I had to change it to 1600 in the bios, but no problems since.

Other Thoughts: I like lower profile heat spreaders. Some of the larger ones tend to get in the way of cable and/or components.

1 out of 5 eggsI am disappointed

Pros: Boom

Cons: My computer died.

Other Thoughts: I bought these a month ago but did not have time until today to put these into my desktop. So I did the usual thing, replaced my old RAM, let the power run, and put these in. It did not post. I tried to revert to my old RAM, it didn't post either. CMOS clear, anything. I think my motherboard fried from this, but I can't be certain. It's also too late for returns because I didn't every try using it till a month and 2 weeks later. Funny, I had a fear of this, that the RAM may not work and it would be past the return date, but what happened is exponentially worse than that.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

Typically memory won't fry a motherboard unless it is installed incorrectly. A NO POST can be caused by many things and can be tricky to troubleshoot. Please contact our support at 1-800-336-8896 and we will try to assist you if possible. We offer a limited lifetime warranty on our DRAM products.

Regards,
Crucial

3 out of 5 eggsRAM

Pros: It's ram

Cons: One stick worked other did not.

Other Thoughts: Really easy to install would of been thrilled if I would of had them both working correctly on arrival.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

Please contact our support at 1-800-336-8896 and we will assist you with an RMA if necessary. We stand behind all of our DRAM products with a limited lifetime warranty and would be happy to help.

Regards,
Crucial

4 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM, deceiving title

Pros: Works great, paired it with similar spec G.Skill RAM for a total of 16 GB. Same exact speed, CAS timings, and voltage rating.

Cons: SPD reports this RAM is actually spec'ed to 1333 MHz (dual channel) instead of 1600. My G.Skill shows up as 1600. However, CPU-Z indicates that it can run an Intel XMP @ 1600 with the timings indicated at 1.5V, which is all that matters. It just caught me off-gaurd when I ran diagnostics on my DIMM slots.. I would venture to say that this RAM is harder to OC than an alternative option, since the chips already seem rated to a lower speed.

Other Thoughts: Docked an egg because SPD indicated the RAM is not REALLY rated at 1600MHz - but loading an Intel XMP profile gets it there. Great RAM nonetheless, especially at the discount it was on sale.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised

Pros: Works perfectly on my Maximus V Gene motherboard! This memory is actually on the Asus qualified memory list for the board which is one of the reasons I purchased it. It works on the XMP profiles as expected. I'm running 16gb in a 4x4gb configuration.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggs24Gb for Bragging rights!!

Pros: Out of the Package set at 1600 with No Problems. Asus X79 Sabertooth, Intel Core I7 3930K, Corsair H80.

Cons: Still Tweaking the OS to Utilize as much Ram as Possible. I will probably never need all of this.
